Just to re: everyone's mega-love for The Thing [I totes loves it too obvs] and also the mentions of Assaults remake - isn't Carpenter's The Thing also a remake of an old B&W movie, with the same story line? This, I ask, without being bothered to search engine it.

I've just seen this in my local indy flicks, and came to check the AVC review and comments. I agree with you, this film is an A.

My main take-away from the film Hollywoodland was Adrian Brody's shirts. Man they were ace and made me determined to make more effort, as a fella, to dress 'better'; which to me meant worry less about what other people thought about the fact I was making more effort.
