1.) I would assume that at least some data could be potentially salvaged depending on the amount of physical damage done to the platters. I recall one of my professors, for example, telling us that someone (I forget who now) was able to "repair" the film (or whatever the technical term is) of a floppy disc after

So I want to set it to no limit... But I'm not sure how that'll work with other programs. Set it so the browser gets top priority, then Skype & other IMs, then Dropbox... Then Dropbox can work at its best possible speed until I get a skype call.... then Skype gets unlimited bandwidth to do HD video call & Dropbox

The G+ app can upload your photos for you, to a private Picassa album. It'll automatically resize the photo/video so it meets Google's criteria so it won't use any of your storage space. I'm not sure if you can change that option, so that could be good (unlimited free space) or bad (resized photos) depending on how

A few suggestions/notes...

I think CD/DVDs generally last 3-5 years, depending on how they're kept. I know when I tried to clean up my multitude of backup CD/DVDs I was having read errors on some of the older discs, which would be about that age range.

Not exactly 100% applicable in this situation, but the basic idea....

I'm actually kind of surprised. That's what I thought about initially when I read "go-bag" to. But usually I'm in full-on geek mode & default to something like in the article (I guess I'm becoming a "normal" person - ewww)...

Cheers! Thanks for the offer... I think German TV is basically in the same position. I found a wiki article about German TV & it only listed like 2 dozen shows...

Are there any sites I could possibly use to download non-English (pref' German or Russian) audio tracks for different shows? Or better still, where I might score some native shows (rather than settling on dubbed US shows)?

1.) CDMA based phones (Verizon & Sprint) don't use SIM cards (except for LTE connections), so basing it solely on the SIM card would be ineffective for half of the carriers.

I set up an AIM account for my Honors Fraternity back when I was still an undergrad student & Brothers/Pledges could IM me on it & I'd add stuff to the away message. "Don't forget MANDATORY rush events this week MWF, 730-9 in the student union" or "Pete & Joe want to get a group together to go see the new American

They may get it a little earlier than John Q Public does, but I recall seeing a FAQ page on Moto's site explaining why it takes so long for updates to come out & they said they had to wait until Google announced the new OS, just like everyone else before they can start working on it... So I'm going with my assumption

Any similar program for Windows?

Does anyone know where to go to get the updates for just 7 to get the image fully up-to-date as of 31 March 2012 (or whatever date it happens to be when I finally stop procrastinating & make the disc)?

Reminds me of an episode of The Big Bang Theory. Leonard comes into the apartment, sees the rest of the guys playing Jenga "What'cha doing?" he asks. Sheldon looks at him and says "Internets been down for a half hour" or something like that...

Isn't there like a rather low per file size limit though? I know Box (which not that long ago had a 50GB special for Android users, and earlier had a similar special for iOS users) only lets you store files as long as they're 100MB or smaller. I'm thinking SkyDrive has a similar limit. Large enough for average

They want us to get annoyed at the limits of the older hardware & get us to buy a new shiny Droid X3, naturally.

A few thoughts...

The only group that gets to see the source code before it gets released to the public is the group that is working on the Nexus device for that particular upgrade. Moto, HTC, etc all had to wait for ICS to drop into the AOSP just like everyone else. I doubt they even allowed Sammy enough access to start to tweak it
