DeskSMS isn't a text replacement s it is a supplement. It sits on your phone & relays any incoming/outgoing texts from your carrier to your GTalk account (or a browser extension). Basically it transforms texting into IM'ing. Like GV, it doesn't handle MMS, but you'll get alerted to the message, so you can check

I used something similar when I backed my contacts up to Google before I switched from iPhone to Android... There was a setting, sync with server, or something (sorry it was awhile ago I don't recall exactly what it was)... But it seemed, to me at least, to be something I wanted to check... I think it said

Speaking of dating statistics.... There was a study earlier this year? that studied OKCupid or Match.com or one of the other dating sites..... According to their study, the best day to get a lil somethin' after the date is .... Wednesday.....

Don't most modern electric blankets automatically turn off automatically after like 8hrs (at least mine does)....

Can you share WiFi instead of cellular data while tethering? I was having difficulties getting a laptop on my network & I figured I'd just share my WiFi using the phone... But when I activated the tethering app, I'm pretty sure I got dropped from WiFi & was sharing the 3G connection....

When I switched from iPhone to Android I had a similar issue. I use my old iPhone as a dedicated music player (as others have mentioned) when I go to the gym. If something happens to it (I accidentally drop a weight on it, or I get too sweaty for it (I've heard some can be uber-moister sensitive) or whatever) and it

I <3 how "Thanksgiving prep work" includes "enable remote access to your computer"... I'm the only one in the family & generally the only one in my social group who is geeky enough to even worry about something like that... So it makes me happy to realize I'm not the only geek in the world...

Sternos are the things you get to keep food hot for buffets and such right....

A few people have mentioned issues of two(+) people trying to modify the same document at the same time... To prevent it, you may want to look into working through Google Plus. You could set up a hangout & work collectively regardless of your physical locations. The video chat function will allow you to

So Google is planning on taking a run at Cox or Time Warner or whoever is in KC... First Google Voice (when partnered with a VoIP service), then Google Fiber, now Google Cable... ISP, phone & cable all in one...

Can we still get a free account with a .edu address? This summer, when videos came to Prime, I asked a friend if she knew if it was still valid... Pretty sure she said it was only half off now... But that was awhile ago, and I haven't really looked into it much... But still, half off isn't too bad, I suppose...
