I liked the captchas that give you some like phd level calculus problem to solve & when you enter the wrong value it says "oh, sorry, lets try a different problem" and it reloads to something like 2+2...

sometimes they're not letters.... Once, I got a grouping of music notes.... Guess I had the wrong kind of keyboard installed

I have unique sounds for email, texts, and G+ notifications. But as MikeHart mentioned, "DROID" is the default notification noise. There are a few apps that still use the default, so when I hear DROID, it could be a couple different things - a breaking news alert from CNN, a fully charged phone (though not likely to

Its is possible... I have my phone set up to automatically forward any incoming texts to my GTalk account, and outgoing texts get forwarded through my phone as well. So if she had a similar set up going & had her GTalk running (or a browser extension), she could have replied & just assumed her phone was sitting in

Personally, I think I may go with the Rezound over the Nexus....

Do you need to be a t-mobile user to run this or can other carriers make use of it as well? (I'd assume since the article mentioned Albania calling Alabama, but....)

Dont know how useful it'd be to control the phone while its in my pocket.... I wouldn't be able to see why my phone just said DROID.... was it a weather alert from The Weather Channel, or breaking news from CNN, or ....

Simply using an app to show she wasn't where she claimed to be "Wouldn't prove adultery." It proves she's a liar, at worst

If we're going by numbers seen in public.... Then, as far as I'm concerned, there are no iPad users either.... Also, Android phones vastly outnumber iPhones.... Everyone with a smartphone I worked with this summer had Android. Ditto for the phones I've noticed on campus lately.

Whats the path to mount it? I haven't gotten around to digging my old iPhone out yet to create the account so excuse me if it's something obvious :)

"What's the appeal of a social network that eschews social? Who am I sharing with? Myself?"

I don't think I'm going to leave a copy in my will. 1.) theoretically, the passwords should be changed on a regular basis (even if it is just after the associated site has been compromised). And while not on a daily basis, I do frequently sign up for new services on occasion. I don't know how well liked I'd be if I

Why is there so much Google+ hate? I personally find it to be a very useful service.... Most seem to be of the "G+ is a ghost town" type theme...

Rather than paying for their service, you could always just archive your files. Set it so it'll break it into 100MB pieces. Then you have 45 100MB rars instead of just 1 4.35GB iso.

Are you sure about that? I don't have a Box.net account (yet - can't pass up 50GBs of free storage), but I going off my Dropbox account usage, I can tell you I frequently upload files larger than 100MBs.

Isn't Google already an ISP (sort of)? They're providing Kansas City with fiber internet....

slightly off topic question, but it popped into my head....

Thanks a lot.... Now I feel the need to hunt up my SNES-like USB game controller & break out some Super Mario Bros or Zombies Ate My Neighbors, or some other game.... There goes this weekend's productivity :p

I'd bet within a week or two, there will be a jailbreak spoof to get Siri a iPhone 4S signature, even if its running on a lower model. Considering its mostly server side actions, there should be no reason it couldn't run on anything so long as it has a microphone & data connection... Might actually get some use out

Wasn't there talk about making Internet access a fundamental human right (or was that just in Europe)? Wouldn't cutting internet connections prove difficult if it were a right? A lot of our life revolves around getting online - paying bills, getting important government documents, etc...
