Probably. But that's how it always goes... Ever hear the joke that your state-of-the-art computer is obsolete as soon as you set it up? It holds true, especially in the mobile computing world (phones & tablets).

Over the years, I've acquired a large collection of music from various sources... Unfortunately, not everyone uses the same naming system. Some have the track number and album name in the file, some have Jay-Z while others are JayZ or Jay Z, etc... Some I ripped from CD pre-always on internet & are labeled as

Could be one & the same.... I think Justice Potter Stewart said it best in Jacobellis v. Ohio (1964), "I can't define pornography, but I know it when I see it." Except, of course, here its music & hear it...

I'd say wait... Their announcement is scheduled for the 19th in Hong Kong (that'd make it 7p-10p pacific-eastern time for the US on the 18th). And then it probably will only be a few days until pre-order opens....

Port your numbers to Google Voice & have your carrier provide you with new numbers (and as spcagigas suggested, have them turn off SMS on your new number), and link your GV accounts to your new numbers.

If your phone is able to support a SMS replacement, more likely than not your using a smart phone, and most carriers (at least in the US) mandate you have a data plan for the phone. So your stuck paying the ~$30/month for that, regardless... The idea of pushing texts via the data connection instead of the SMS

I apologize as this post is going to be slightly off topic, but.... I've got a couple VoIP questions & since this is a recent VoIP post....

Here's a few suggestions for the telemarketer suggestion....

I just keep my doors locked 24/7, thus no need for something like this... Its a cheaper and easier method (though I know, the fun is in the tinkering & getting it set up)

What if my newly created ringtone is too short?

My understanding of Verizon's program (and again, I'm assuming AT&T does it similarly) as long as you've a grandfathered unlimited data plan it'll remain unlimited until you get rid of that account. So you'll be able to upgrade from the Razr to an iPhone 4S and still keep your unlimited data.

I was going to suggest facial recognition system as well... Except, instead of in the classrooms, I'd think installing cameras at each entrance would be better. Then you'd only need 3 or 4 cameras rather than a hundred or so... Of course then, you'd have the issue of kids coming in bundled up with scarves, hats,

I just tested it out on my Droid X's 4.3 inch screen. And yes, it was difficult to reach the upper right corner of the phone.

Isn't there some kind of salt-lick type thing you can set up outside to help abate rabies? I don't know how well it'd work with bats, but... Maybe dissolving it in a bird bath, or wherever the bats go to get water...

"Hello, thank you for calling IT have you tried turning it off and back on again?"

That's basically what I did - locked it from the outside... Except, after turning the key to unlock it, before pulling out, I turned it the other way to re-engage the locking mechanism, so whenever the door was shut again it'd be locked. I found it to be a little more efficient, one quick motion when I came home vs.

I've accounts at the top 3, FB, G+ & Tweeter.

I'm on it and I'm not a nerd..... I'm a geek!

That's thanks to the openess of Android.... Manufacturers are able to tweak the OS, add customized skins & such to the OS before releasing their phones. Which is why, even if they've got the same version, a Motorola and HTC and Samsung phone will all look and act differently OS wise. The delay is thanks to them

If your going from an iPhone 4 and want to upgrade to a 4S day 1, according to an article I read somewhere, it might actually be cheaper for you to switch carriers & pay the early termination fee than to upgrade to the 4S straight. Even if you got the 4 first day, according to the source, you'll be in the middle of
