My way could actually be used so only you can approve tags of yourself. They could scratch the whole "Tag your friends" idea, and then automatically shoot you an email whenever someone posts a pic of you. It isn't as nice looking, and doesn't have all the cool features (like scheduling) as GO does, but... The Google Voice app could work. Its more akin to the stock texting app... But it'll let you send/receive texts using your Google Voice #.
