That might be true. But it wasn’t an Iron Man movie.
That might be true. But it wasn’t an Iron Man movie.
Marvel has broken with letting their leading creative comic voices lead. Seen Iron Man 3? Avengers 2? We will see.
Sure I’m on board with the idea of that. But that doesn’t count out studio meddling. They’ve done it with every frickin Spidey film since Spiderman 3.
I loved MST3000 but have been sceptical of the reboot. With Dan Harmon on board now so am I.
Ever seen old Doctor Who? Embarrassing and weird but they built on it. Decades later Moffit has taken every off key note and turned it into an opera. And for him every book, audio play, bastardized American film version counts.
This is nuts.
I am saying that the better creator can use every part of the pig and still have his or her own voice heard. Side stepping is lazy. Read All Star Superman. Nothing changed, nothing wasted. Excellent art.
The Force Awakens may not ultimately suck but there was already material to draw from that was well done. Not just…
I wish I couldt tell you The old expanded universe is huge & I hadn’t read them all. I can say many many of the books did a better job than most of the Lucas films.
He’s still got 6 other films that someone else, good & bad, had already created. He also cherry picked ideals & fetishes from the former expanded universe he dumped entirely. He’s a hack.
Abrams is a hack. There were people in Lucas’ employ meant to keep track of the all of the stories, what was important and what was not. Just like in the Star Trek universe. Side stepping the whole thing is actually very lazy storytelling.
With the exception of the very small space opera/sitcom/Vaudeville fanbase I hope I am not alone when I say these direct poster rip offs are still way better than the film Space Balls itself.
Ooo ooo! I know! For it not to suck.
If we’re to take anything Trump says seriously I don’t see why we wouldn’t this. Did Bush Jr. leave the country in a cluster fuck? Then yes it’s true.
God I hate this hack.
This is the correct answer.
Marvel has since dispatched with creator film input. Bendis, Brubaker, Whedon & the gang don’t have a say in how the movies turn out. As a result they wouldn’t allow Gaiman’s signiture influence on a major property. Keep this in mind.
As someone who prefers the original trilogy I honestly think this is the best scene in all of the movies. Ian McDiarmid comes off as genuinely creepy. Casually over enunciating each line, talking, taking his time in planting the final seeds of doubt into Anakin. He seduces him against his best judgement, against his…
He could have incorporated all of the doctors. He’s bitching about The Doctors-not-looking-like-The Doctors yet he found a place for Tom Baker. Superfan handwaving bullshit all that.
Never mind that. Where’s Luke?
Thought it was a hipster before I saw the picture. A hipster worth his or her artisanal salt wouldn’t be caught dead with a typewriter that new. Those glasses, maybe.
