How else can you facilitate breastfeeding on demand through age 6 unless a mother’s body is readily accessible to her child at all times? I dunno. I think it’d be interesting to drive all over the place and see new places. Obviously you can’t while working but surely you can take a break in whatever city you end up in and enjoy the sites.

Having done local delivery (driving a semi in a Bay Area) it’s not all that bad. Not the most exotic work, it’s true, but nothing to be looked down upon...my brother once observed that I was happier back then...

Why not? It pays well. Better than any of the jobs you mentioned and you work pretty independently. Don’t demean what you don’t understand.

The only reason for no one to want either of those jobs is that they pay poorly, which isn’t as applicable to truck driving. I actually know a number of people who enjoyed being cashiers/nannies/servers/doing casual construction work more than they’ve enjoyed higher status positions they’ve held later in life. Working…
