Yep,

I'd just like to note that downloading the video using 3rd party tools is against YouTube's Terms of Service (Section 5B):

I still can't believe I have to refer to this thing as the damn "Charms Bar". It's emasculating.

I feel more focused and feel I run better not planning a route. Most runners can usually (I'm assuming now) estimate their distance or guestimate by a watch. If I've run a 9min/mi and I've been running for 10 minutes I've run just over a mile. Planning routes often led me to slow down when I knew I was on the last leg

Completely agree. Most employees will be given a copy of the terms of use when they're hired that they must sign off on. A few things in ours include "All files and emails are property of the company". Let's be adults and realize we aren't here to use the computer as you would your own personal home machine. 99 times

It isn't even really about making my or anyone elses job easier. In fact preventing users from installing stuff (in my environment) makes my job a bit harder on occasion. The truth is, you (not you personally) are part of a team along with IT, Payroll, HR, etc. I would love to trust everyone with installing programs

I try and explain to people the situation upfront and truthful to the user. Most of the time they may be hesitant but they understand what IT people have to do. Especially if you can relate it to a non-technical scenario, which I love to do. The main reasons we restrict applications is to A) Avoid piracy or unlicensed

I'm at IT professional and I use a lot of this stuff even as a Domain admin. I like to operate without logging people off, or asking for their password. There are tons of ways around limitations, but please be respectful and understand they're usually there for a reason.

Bandwidth can cost a pretty penny, Unless you're running a Time Warner/Comcast setup, it can get very very expensive. Your IT department may not get the budget for upgrading their bandwidth. Most IT departments aren't out to piss people off, WE have to operate within our means, usually do orders given down by higher

This is true, however on slower computers, CCleaner populates the list quicker than Windows does. Almost every program uses MSIEXEC to uninstall the program anyway.

First off I really hate screensavers, as they provide almost no purpose. If the screensaver is on, then you should never see it. It goes on when the computer isn't in use.

Also I installed the the Flip clock screensaver mentioned above and got a bunch of DEP warnings from the EMET 4.0 tool. Not sure what the issue is.

Step 4: Give up

Yeah, I hear ya. I was just being "that guy". I'm surprised he doesn't take PDF since he's probably doing everything electronically anyway.

Hide your printer in your...don't print out stuff anymore.

Yep, Wegmans does a great job with their products. Love em here in Buffalo.

Turn that volume up Adam

I wasn't turned down, and I do have a Associates degree, but I was offered significantly less money because I didn't have a bachelors degree even though I had 4 years experience.

Thanks, I got it somewhat working. It still shows the default slide-to-unlock for a few seconds then goes to the Ubuntu lockscreen. Apparently unlocking the Ubuntu lockscreen is just hitting the home button correct (without the password)? It also shows the music controls for a second with null - null above it. I'm

Alan, it looks like it needs to replace the default launcher as well? Don't know if I can ditch Nova even though this lockscreen is pretty slick. Nice find.

I love to get my workout in at the local playground. I usually do it right before I make my reservation for a table of 1 at the local Chuck E. Cheese's
