I just started a new full-time position after freelancing for several years (barring a recent and very short-lived employment at a company that was basically bullying me from day one). I am so freaking pumped to begin actually making money and being able to contribute to stuff around the house and buying things again.

My girlfriend and I fight about temperature all the time. Even just in bed at night, she still has a comforter on the bed. Meanwhile I’ve got a fan set up next to me blowing on my face all night so I don’t overheat and die. I have no idea how she just stays wrapped up all the time, drives me nuts.

I love the weird episodes. The one where it’s entirely Jeff in space? Awesome. And then the followup where he comes “back” but its an alien and then where they need to get him a new body.

American Dad is legitimately a great show. I don’t know what season it was where the writing team shifted, but it’s a great show. I love the holiday episodes, and any Roger episode is always a treat. It’s unsurprising to me that they would have this level of depth for a one-off joke.

I’m legitimately surprised they didn’t just end it with “Incoming call from the Supreme Chancellor,” just to dig at us even further.

It’s cool that they’re actually printing a bunch of these. There was another small press that did hyper special editions of these books with a limited print run. They were gorgeous and they reserved most of the print run for people who had initially purchased the first book. They sold out in seconds and I was left

I actually went into my backlog and powered through RE7 and RE2 remake. Both amazing! Though I have to say, I really truly loved RE7. The first person stuff made everything so tense! The Bakers were great antagonists and I felt like the game was honestly really really tight up until “the caves” at the end.

I’m also thinking about hopping back into Fortnite this weekend. Ever since I received that free battle pass oh so long ago I’ve always tried to “earn” enough coins to buy the next one.

I am so jealous of your chair! I don’t know how long I’m going to be working from home, so I can’t really justify a new one right now. I’m swapping between a basic chair we had at the table and a balance ball for my back. Not the most elegant solution, but it helps.

Hey, at least you’re getting the comments to load! It’s apparently hit or miss for me. I tried really hard to comment on Heather’s awesome MGS2 post yesterday, but it just wouldn’t load.

One of the main things getting me through the week is my Friday morning plan. There’s a local business open nearby that not only is a coffee shop, but also kind of serves as a fresh market. They have things like limes and lemons and banans and eggs there.

I’ve always loved everything in the Death Star throne room. I just recently rewatched Jedi and it still feels like something is happening there. I think I disagree with Tom about seeing Vaders turn. The moments where he’s looking back and forth between Luke and the Emperor convey so much in such a tiny gesture. Dude

Alright, I’m plugging my own podcast on here.

He’s terrifying and I’m not a huge fan of his mini-game. I’m only... 6 days in at this point? I’m still farming materials every day. I don’t need ever third tree hit to be an egg, I need wood! I need ore!

I play Civilization Revolution on Xbox 360 with my friends to this day. It’s my favorite civ. I get the same enjoyment in a tighter game that I can finish in a few hours. This many years later, we’re still finding new strategies and ways to screw each other over.

Honestly? Pretty shitty.

Started a new job last week that’s currently all remote. There’s a lot of process stuff and not being face to face with my manager has been tough. He’s very busy and I’m someone who doesn’t like to interrupt people so I’ve been stressing about even asking tiny questions. Couple that with a

I live in Quarantown.

This is the first season I ever hit rank 100. I’ve been cruising off of the free battle pass they gave us a few season ago. Normally I get juuuuust enough V-bucks for the battle pass next time around.

I think Games as a Service are still fine, if you know what you’re getting into. Take, for example, Destiny. That game only functions with an internet connection. They made this abundantly clear when launching the game, so I purchased it digitally, fully aware there was a shelf life.

Babu Frik is cute as hell and deserves his own show. If it’s with Keri Russell, even better.
