This sounds like a much better way to do the branching story/teams than Fates did with its weird family dynamics.

I am so close to starting this expansion. I’m level 46, finished my main odyssey, have like one Atlantis key thing left, and all the cultists remaining are level 50 so I jumped into the first blade stuff to level up so I could finish them off.

Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle is my game. I just hit the 1000 day mark in my Japanese account and I’m on something like 600 with my Global one. It’s the perfect game for me. Not too thought intensive unless its an uber endgame mode (Super Battle Road and the new Goku event) and it is super nostaliga-y to build teams

Oh man, you didn’t mention my favorite part! Her family doesn’t just side with the Horde because that’s where they landed, it’s also because all of the other Princess-aligned folks dislike her people because they’re scary looking. There’s a prejudice against them and when the Horde came along and said, “hey, don’t

That’s kind of the issue, most don’t! Usually, there’s one or two “magic macguffins” in the game that you’re after. Most of the time, this is tied into some family/relationship drama and isn’t the primary plot driver. You might get to play with the magic item in one or two missions, but that’s usually it. The sci-fi

I’ve only just started playing Odyssey having bought the gold version on sale a few months ago, and I am pumped to get to this DLC. I was always going to play this game (I don’t think I’ve skipped an Assassin’s Creed yet, great cheap pick up on Black Friday every year), but seeing the initial trailer for Atlantis

I love reading stuff like this because the experience is entirely alien to me. I attended High School and College two hours away from the Orlando area. Weekend Disney/Universal trips were incredibly common, and I did have an annual pass at one point. So all of the “magic” really has no impact for me, it’s more about

I play fortnight pretty regularly at this point. My girlfriend likes watching it, and I got that free battle pass from a while back.

I think your analysis of the Battlestar Galactic finale is frustratingly inaccurate. If you aren’t a fan of the religious iconography and solutions that end up playing a large role in the finale, that’s fine. But to argue that these elements are added in later seasons or come out of the blue is inaccurate.

Uh oh. Did Kotaku accidentally add another Destiny addict?

Ah, the Ghibli Museum! Such a cool place.

Wow, even from future box sets too? Is this unprecedented? The only thing I can think of that relates is South Park fridging the Super Best Friends episode online and on air due to its inclusion of Muhammad. But that episode is still available on the DVD release.

James, you’re a great writer and I’ve really enjoyed your stuff on this site before, but wow, this section of the article reads like a mess:

because I’ve been working on Winds

Yeah, I just googled them and it’s still very robotic. The female voice sounded better I think, but they both were discernibly non-human.

I love FromSoft games. Dark Souls is by far my favorite because I just love High Fantasy. I dove deep into that game when it came out and I’m working on a playthrough right now of DS Remastered and realizing that I’ve lost a lot of my skill (or I just picked a horrible Dex/Int build).

“Look Sora, it’s a lucky emblem!” was my least favorite thing to hear in-game. Like, where? Did that line proc because I just ran by one? Is it in the room I just entered while you were saying it? I’m moving fast, game. The voice line was somewhat helpful, but not enough.

I look forward to the tell all interview with Stephen Totilo soon.

We’ll always have those first 3 seasons. Genius level writing and an amazing cast that went on to do great things.

Unions!
