Hm. Looks like less digimon than Cyber Sleuth. Not that that’s a bad thing, considering how many great options there are.

The Brienne scene is so perfect. Not only because she FINALLY gets to where she’s wanted to be for so long, but also because she gets the dig in at Sansa for rejecting her the first time. She knows Sansa’s gone through hell, she knows that she was right. But she’s still a damn knight and is going to do exactly as she…
Agree on the PG thing, but unfortunately I don’t think he’s going to budge on that. He’s talked about it at length, acknowledged that people in general have an issue with it, but also mentioned that he’s really not comfortable writing any other way.
Ooof. I was looking forward to this one too, but the controls just sound like too much of a barrier. I’m no slouch at learning new ways to play, but it just doesn’t sound like a game for me.
The battle about artistic integrity is so interesting to me. Any changes to a game inevitably bring detractors, but damn. Games are an artistic medium that have the ability to be changed and improved over time. I think it’d be great for the game of thrones tv show to go back and adjust some decisions to make them less…
You know, I’ve never really thought of our bills having “fronts” or “backs” before. I mean, I guess it makes sense, but I just always referred to the dude side as the face side.
I would love this ride. I could see it as part of fantasy land at the magic kingdom, or as an added ride in Japan at Epcot.
Yes! The Alloy of Law was meant to be a stop-gap fun look at how the Mistborn world has developed since the end of the trilogy, but soon evolved. There are 4 planned books with 3 currently released. And there’s an ebook only (HUGE SPOILER BOOK) called Secret History. All are worthwhile, but absolutely read in…
He has one character like it in every single book and it’s the one area where I’d argue he hasn’t improved. I still really appreciate his writing for what it is and I think he is one of the most skilled worldbuilders out there, but Shallan/Wayne/David are all terrible and I groan when they do the “clever” thing.
Oh absolutely. That’s why my main descriptor is fun. I love ASOIAF, but I’d never describe it as fun to anyone. And you’re in for a treat! The next few books have some of the best plot twists and expansions on the Mistborn world yet. And once you’ve finished Bands of Mourning, make sure to look up Secret History. BUT…
I really enjoyed Locke Lamora and I’m desperately hoping we get another book this year. But I would be remiss if I didn’t plug Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn series as my favorite fantasy in recent years. Now encompassing 7 total novels spanning 2 distinct time periods, it’s just so fun. Way more sanitized than Martin…
I’m watching and I can’t wait. Obviously the books are my preferred medium, but I can honestly say that my favorite Game of Thrones medium is actually the board game. More rivalries, betrayals, beacons of hope only to be crushed at the last second have come out of that game than anything in Martin’s books or HBO’s…
Oh man. I saw that, but I had no idea it labeled you as the host too! Welp, guess I'm grabbing those rings on this next character!
Wait... How are they all “host of embers”? I thought that was just for, you know, the world host? Is there a mechanic/sneaky ring I’m missing out on???
Once the players are forced back inside the geometry for the incursion, they'll just push the vehicle off them map.
That was the only NPC quest I was able to finish. I missed 3 vendors completely the first time around. Made my spell opportunities incredibly limited, sadly.
I got the Usurpation of Fire for my first ending, but I think I may have missed some stuff since I didn’t summon Yuria for the final boss fight. I’m not sure if it changes dialogue or just gets me her gear, but since I was trying to solo the fight, I ran right past her summon sign.
Patrick, you’re doing damn fine reporting for continuing to follow up on this. I had no idea folks were still looking into Allison or the second job. I kind of figured, if that info ever came out, we’d be beyond this onto the next story. But you’ve kept it up and have continued to fairly look at all the angles.
Damn. I saw that post when it went live and thought it was goofy. I hope hope hope that this is Bungie goofing around on the subreddit.
Alright, I’ll be the hipster that says it. MS Paint Adventures was so much better.
