Wow, how did I miss the whole Kotaku Beta thing? This is honestly the first time I've heard of this and I visit this site every day!

BOB-OMB!
@danielrbischoff: Well, if you want to validate the purchase, it lets you make all the primary decisions of Mass Effect 1 without having to replay the entire game. Which is actually pretty appealing considering I can't go back and play the original anymore.
@WestwoodDenizen: It's a really interesting perspective and one that deserves exploring. All games have some form of music designed to enhance the experience. Sometimes this is just ambient sound or sometimes its the lack of any sound that really expresses what the creators wanted. Music really can enhance and…
@Dinoczar: wishes upon/for a star: I've unfortunately heard that song about 8 billion times. Sure, it's always comforting to hear a familiar game tune, but after each new iteration of Kingdom Hearts comes with the same world backdrop music, it starts to wear on you.
I've been waiting for this for a while. The adjustable tension on the control sticks really appeals to me. Plus, I've been thinking about switching over to a wired controller for a while, especially since my battery pack needs charging all the time now.
Not the worst battery life I've ever seen, especially on a fairly powerful system.
So I just recently got Red Dead Redemption for a late Christmas gift. I know I'll get the DLC eventually, but should I buy it all before I even start the game? Or just wait until I finish the main storyline? Thanks!
@The Anti-Fanboy: Yeah, but getting those runners shiny? That takes incredible dedication. Way more than I have.
@CarterF: Also fill my facebook wall with copious requests for help in farming from people who I would legitimately enjoy communicating with, but am then forced to remove them from my wall due to said annoyance.
@FutileEnd: Exactly.
@Dr.Preston!: Probably an older law meant to help maintain the integrity of the fledgling gaming industry.
@knobmonster: The absolute best thing that came out of XIII was the Frocobo.
@Goldwings: I don't even think boss used mockingly or ironically applies to that moment.
@BoxOfScraps: To be fair, the PS3 controller is great for RPG's and action games.
You know what, I think I'll splurge and get this. It's a pretty sweet controller design and I know my roommate will freak out with jealousy over this once he sees it.
@ludwigk: I remember when Wolverine leaked online back before it was officially released. It had the soundtrack to Transformers on it.
@gigawings: At the maido cafe I went to, there was a group of businessmen in the corner who had clearly had too much to drink and they were being extremely disrespectful to the maids. They were also super loud and obnoxious. They were part of the reason the experience was so awkward.
@endaround: Good comparison. I don't think we see as much of it here in the states though, primarily because the 2 people you mentioned aren't part of our collective conscious of "idols".
@PunkyChipsAhoy: I'd really like to see an Assassin's Creed esque party mission where Bond has to take out some target covertly and avoid guards or something by mingling with people, getting with girls, gambling, doing very bond things.
