Absolutely false, the reality is that more than 40% of undocumented immigrants arrive legally to the US and then overstay their visas.

The vast majority of undocumented immigrants do not come overland by foot. They come through established checkpoints. This wall will cost way more than any measurable benefit it will confer.
Unfortunately, most of the people classified as illegal immigrants did not walk across the border. They arrived in an airplane, with a valid temporary Visa. They overstay their Visa and presto: they are now illegal.
Of the minority of illegals that do cross the land border, they generally fall into 2 main categories:…
The vast majority of illegals entering the country do so by driving through border checkpoints or on commercial airlines and showing their passports, just like you do when you cross to visit Mexico or Canada. The whole “illegals sneaking across in the dead of night” thing is a small minority of people, and is mostly a…
Since 2007 the net illegal immigration from Mexico has been negative. People largely come here for economic reasons, and if the US is going to hell in a handbasket, relatively speaking, that’s a good incentive to stay away. So I guess that’s a win?
Would a massive wall that spanned the entire US/Mexico border probably have some “positive” (as in, reducing) impact on people and goods illegally crossing the border? Probably.
You’d have to stop the airplanes that bring most of them here of course. So those walls need to be a few thousand feet higher.
You’re not living in the real world, bud.
ive never laughed at a piss joke. (sees how impressed everyone is, takes it one step further) in fact, ive never laughed before in my life.
We’ve changed. South Park has always pushed the line, while more and more we back away from it.
He has that “post modernism and the internet has robbed us of meaning” vibe of a dank meme master, minus all the regressive shit.
the wise man bowed his head solemnly and spoke: “there’s actually zero difference between good & bad things. you imbecile. you fucking moron”
This seems like a Damned if you, damned if you don’t kind of situation. I’m happy they published the adventure, even if they stumbled. They tried, which is a weird thing I have come to appreciate from white people around me as a PoC. It’s awkward sometimes, but I appreciate they try to include me and be mindful of me…
If only we lived in a world in which EVERY other country on earth has stricter gun laws and do not have the issues with mass shootings that we have here. If only there was some kind of blueprint for effective gun control to lower gun related crimes. Oh well, I guess such a thing is just a pipe dream.
Here is the thing about equality and those who don’t want others to have it. Allot of people oppress others and they have a great excuse to continue to do so. These are the things these kinds of people look for to justify their own hate.
“there is no way for a human to be objective, when you add humans into the mix it stops being moderation and stars being censorship with whatever the censor disagrees with, no matter how professional the individual.”
Replace judges with robots! You can’t leave decisions in the hands of mere humans.
Yes, it has. Sometimes I think critics create their own bandwagons. A few start heading one direction and then a bunch do so they won’t be seen as not sophisticed enough or some other nonsense. I also think critics, like other people, often get too hung up in biases and preconceived notions. They went in already…
From what I’ve seen of Seth Mcfarlane outside of his work, he seems like a charming and rather sweet guy. Cosmos is a gift to a new generation of science-hungry kids and I really like American Dad. Even if I hated all his creative stuff, I honestly don’t think I could dislike him as a person based on what I’ve seen.
