True enough, but I wouldn’t have expected them to buy into the “white power” thing. I mean, if you’re not white, it would seem that supporting white supremacists would be somewhat counter-productive...

LEOs definitely skew wildly right, but that 84% number is basically irrelevant. Aside from being 2 years old, the poll itself was a multiple choice, “which of these do you like the most” question.
Nah. After almost 20 years at the PD, I can promise you that LEOs and the military skew right and are willing to go pretty far along the extremist scale in their support.
True enough - I mean, all other ambassadors report to SoS.
I suspect a sadly large percentage of Republican women think that all posts should be given to men, because a woman’s place is in the home.
Tell ya what, skippy. The next time someone a foot taller and a hundred pounds heavier than you locks you in a room with him and his buddy, throws you down with your hand over your mouth, and starts trying to get your clothes off, you can call him anything you fucking please. Me, I’m quite OK with calling a guy that…
Thank you, Poodletime. You’ve hit the nail on the head. I might be willing to hold my nose and vote for a candidate that’s far from my ideal. But I only have so many hours that I can give to the causes I support.
There’s absolutely no legal theory that would allow a 5-year-old to sign a valid contract. Technically, though, this isn’t a contract, so contract law doesn’t apply. If it were a criminal case, it also wouldn’t be allowed. As ridiculous as some of the things are that we allow to be done to juveniles, no 5-year-old…
I suspect that the number of people who take Avenatti seriously is pretty limited. It’s all well and good to say, “We need a fighter like that!” as a hypothetical, but another thing entirely to actually support him in the real world.
None of her witnesses “categorically denied” anything, and at least one of them said they believed her story. What they said was that they didn’t remember the party or know anything about an assault.
If someone asks me if I wanna chip in for lunch, I generally assume that if I say yes, that my money is gonna go towards paying for lunch. I’d be more than a little pissed off if half of my money went on the lunch tab and the other half was used for my buddy to stop for drinks on the way home.
I don’t have a clue how this woman’s mind works, either, and I’m glow-in-the-dark white. Although in an odd way, I think I’ve developed a new appreciation for why Rachel Dolezal would rather be a middle-aged black woman than a middle-aged white woman.
A friend of mine used to live in the same building with her and says that she most definitely is batshit crazy. As in, lordie, I hope I don’t accidentally make eye contact with her and WTAF is she doing now crazy. That said, they said she *isn’t* “oh, that poor woman doesn’t know what she’s saying/doing” crazy.
And if we were talking about whether or not to charge him criminally, her opinion would be relevant. That’s not what anyone was talking about.
Really? You’ve never, ever heard of any company that allows people to put in vacation requests at short notice? And it’s never crossed your mind that none of these protests popped up with no notice?
But that would also be pretty predictable timing for someone with BPD to have exactly the sort of mood swings that he shows.
Except no. 50 ‘no’ votes would actually have resulted in a defeat of the nomination, because only 99 Senators were present.
For those of us who were paying attention, there were multiple instances of perjury with evidence to support the charge.
Because of course, it isn’t even remotely possibly that any of these women hold down one or more jobs but are using their regular days off or their vacation time.
That “certain percent” is 2-7%, or roughly the same as the percentage of false reports in other crimes.
