You’re a good man, Charlie Brown.

We spend a lot of time ducking under elbows and armpits.

Suddenly, my 5'3" is seeming *so* much taller.

I’m not a big milk drinker, but one of our local dairies has a cotton candy milk that makes my taste buds absolutely do a happy dance.

Please tell me what forum you’re posting on. I really, really wanna watch.

Now that you mention it, yeah, I’m pretty sure it might. On the other hand, if I had to choke down the herrings, I’m guessing the resulting nausea would result in a fairly sizable weight loss, so it might all come out in the wash.

You forgot to mention that it would be a good idea to put on your body armor before broaching that topic.

Figuring the reversal rate using the numbers you want to use has the 9th coming in with roughly an 80% reversal rate, with the 8th’s rate being considerably lower at around 67%. Pretty big difference, but it doesn’t actually tell you anything about whether the circuit is out of the mainstream.

“We may have not even known who he was if he hadn’t been shot by the citizen.”

Call me silly, but I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that if this fantasy civil war scenario came about, the US military just might take the nukes and the military hardware with them when they leave Texas.

You may not have said they’re the most over-ruled, but the idea that “look at how many cases are overruled, the 9th circuit is occupied by crazies and incompetents” is very much a FOX talking point. And I notice that you chose to ignore the fact that the number of cases a circuit has overruled is absolutely

In all likelihood, yes. A sizable percentage of mass shooters do exactly that.

Except oopsie, the 9th circuit isn’t the most overruled circuit - you’ve been listening to Hannity, haven’t you? Contrary to what he likes to claim, both the 6th and the 11th circuits get overruled more often.

Actually, practically all shooting sprees end when the bad guy with a gun gets bored of shooting people and either leaves or offs himself. The majority of such shootings that are stopped by Joe Schmoe are stopped by unarmed Joes, not armed Joes. And in the majority of shootings that are stopped by the armed Joes,

Funny, I haven’t heard anyone saying “things would be better if that guy didn’t even own a gun.” What I see people saying is “the guy across the street deserves praise for what he did but this isn’t really an example of a good guy with a gun saving the day.”

Except the coverage that the jurors was exposed to began well before the case got anywhere near a courtroom. The Sheppard case got insane media coverage right from the beginning. Like OJ Simpson level insane. And the media made pretty much no effort to police themselves; no rumor or speculation was too ridiculous to

I read the article. You just completely missed my point. Perhaps you should try actually reading the comment before you make snarky replies?

Makes ya proud to be an American, doesn’t it?

I wondered how that worked. I may be doomed to the greys for eternity.

If what you got out of the article is that the Bedouins living in Umm al-Hiran are being forced out for a different group of Bedouins, then yes, you misread the Wikipedia rundown.
