I’m constantly shocked at the number of runners who do NOT run on the left side of the road facing traffic. I live in a busy suburban area with lots of curvy roads and no sidewalks. Especially when it’s a young person, I almost want to pull over and tell them they’re risking their lives that way.

People even wear masks in Solyant Green. It should be in there. Also the original I Am Legend is fantastic-- The Omega Man. And Contagion (1987). Also Adromeda Strain.

Well I don’t grind my own beans, and buy my coffee at Aldi or Trader Joe’s, so *shrug*.

I’m not a coffee snob but I buy decent coffee and enjoy a few cups every morning while waking up my brain.

That may be true for some people, but not everyone. My spouse, for example, has horrible knees from a former job and can only run with cushioned heels. And I have lower back issues (a wedge between 2 discs) that means slightly elevated heels on my shoes help take the pressure off my lower back.

Thank you for this! My Dad has already bugged me that I’ll destroy my knees running. I’m not running marathons— I run an easy 4 miles slow on a good day. I do it for health and stress relief and not pushing it (I’m mid-40s).

Salt flakes on chocolate chip cookies (e.g. the NT Times overnight chocolate chip cookie recipe) were a revolution for me. I’m read for salt on ice cream, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar? Why not?

I wonder this, too. Usually I just have a little oil residue in a pan (like after cooking hamburgers) and I wipe it out with a paper towel and throw it in the trash.

I’m used to Waze so I keep using it. I’ve tried Google Maps and found nothing compelling enough to switch. Plus Waze is critical for reporting construction and speed traps. I won’t drive in NJ without it.

Ah, thanks. I always believed that if I’m staying in my lane, I have right-of-way. But drivers who should be merging from the left always honk and act like I’m in the wrong. It is NJ, though!

Here’s a merge question for you.

Running is my meditation. Totally clears my mind like nothing else. Afterwards I feel an unmatched sense of calm. And I’m not talking tons of miles-- just a few, very very slow miles.

Or just stop using fireworks that are loud and potentially dangerous. They scare the crap out of dogs and cats, as well as combat veterans. Sparklers is all I’m going to enjoy today.

Stop citing the First Amendment for everything. It doesn’t even apply on the ground here bc airlines are not the government. 1A is about GOVERNMENT suppression of free speech. People keep getting this wrong and throwing it around like it means anyone can say anything without consequence and that’s simply not the case.

I’ve been packing meats and cheeses, fruit and nuts, etc. for camping and picnics forever, so I 100% agree with this.

AGAIN I am NOT asking you to continue to mask if you’re vaccinated. I am saying *WE* will continue to mask because we don’t trust that unvaccinated will mask up.

This should include some consideration of what plants are toxic to pets. Philodendron can make cats sick/throw up.

I’m not asking people to continue to mask. I did not say that.

My spouse has lupus (and is on immunosuppressive medication) and also has CVID (Common Variable ImmunoDeficiency) which is sort of the step below the boy in the bubble. She gets regular antibody (IVIG) infusions to boost her immune system, and we are both vaccinated. We’re only hanging out maskless with people who we

My spouse used to clean houses for a living and she swears by canister vacuums. We’ve had 2 kenmore canisters in the 25 years we’ve been married, and the second one is going strong after 10+ years. It might be a bit heavier to drag around, but we have cats and dogs and the suction really is unparalleled. They last
