Dead front axle, cut up engine bay that now holds a gas tank, very heavy engine and transmission held in place by rebar... This thing has so many options for how it will kill you.

If you want to pay double what a vehicle is worth for a false sense of “simplicity” more power to you. The older the used vehicle, the better the chance some jackass has spent twice as much time hiding a problem as it would take to properly fix it.

My tiny ass hatchback has 30 more HP than this monstrosity, and even then its still slow as shit, not to mention far more safe. These things are as easy to work on as you think. There is a shit ton of vacuum cables and wiring that takes a ton of time to learn to keep straight

Ahem, simplicity? May I redirect you to the underhood shot. The wiring and vacuum line drawings will take up many pages - and there appears to be some disorganization.

So it’s at least three different colors, may be hiding some rust, and aside from having a fairly new lift kit installed, is clapped out everywhere else.  It seems like the body bushes are completely shot, the steering equipment is worn and leaking,  and you can imagine that the motor mounts, steering and suspension…
