What’s really interesting is that we begged for an a la carte programming for years and cable companies told us it didn’t really work at scale to have a la carte and we all insisted it did. Now companies own their own content and can’t even really offer a la carte at a reasonable price compared to cable.
That’s not the argument I’m making. Sure you can do that, but now, most people don’t .

On the other hand Dunk and Egg only existed for GRRM to tell more backstory around things he thought were interesting in the Song of Ice and Fire books but couldn’t fit in.
