I was lucky enough to snag imax tickets to the 12/20 730pm show last week. 

I watched the last trailer, but have been avoiding all of these other spots. 

I’m not going to rule it out, that was the sound of spurs and the character was wearing a cape, I think it’s highly improbably, but given Filoni has already brought one cool looking but ultimately dispatched movie character back from the dead it wouldn’t shock me.

I agree that Broom Boy likely doesn’t matter, but I didn’t know about the scenes being moved around, that’s interesting. 

What’s interesting, and I’ve not read any of the books that may have explained this, is that Palpatine’s original plan was to exploit already present divisions coupled with the Jedi Council’s lax ways and ignorance, to rise to power completely through legal means. A big disconnect is the between the people who have consumed all the of the now non-canon material and think that somehow makes them a bigger/better fan than people who have only consumed the movies/canon shows. They think they were owed the Thrawn Trilogy or Mara Jade or Jacen or whatever and instantly revolt against
