“I was totally GOING TO be an ally regarding the toxic stew of misogyny and discrimination, restricted choices and daily harassment, economic penalties and lost opportunities that our shitty culture imposes on you, but then you said/wore/played/ate/voted for/opined about someing that displeased me, so lemme mansplain…
Yeah I also think I might be coming off harsher than I intend to be.
>not shitting on nintendo
Come on Jason, you have to admit you’re starting to sound like a Youtube comment. People here are countering with properly thought out, eloquent arguments, and you’re only conjuring up figures out of thin air. Eloquently, but still.
You do realize that Nintendo is doing little more than pushing publish and updating a webpage, right? Konami is the rights holder for TG-16 and they are the ones developing and publishing the games.
You’re throwing around a lot of figures here that seem to be plucked straight from your imagination. “...games that will be played by maybe 50 people max”? I bought a turbografx game a couple weeks ago - there are 13 million consoles out there with the infrastructure in place to release additional games without much…
It’s not zero-sum, Jason - That’s a dumb and fallacious argument. By that same logic, your time spent writing this article could and should have been spent doing something else more productive for Kotaku, instead of taking that time at the cost of something else... Manpower isn’t always 100% and no one nor any one…
I disagree with you completely. You seem to think that Nintendo are just doing ridiculous things because Nintendo, as if they don’t know the power of their absurd library of classic games and how well they sell.
Those are both great games! I don’t care wether they are released on the Wii U or the Switch, I like playing pn both consoles. And yes, my Wii U is still plugged in. I still have to finish Tokyo Mirage :)
Negativity
You could just report on this without the dripping condenscension. It costs Nintendo little to port already released games and I’m glad to see they’re still doing so.
They write articles like these because of shit like this.
When you finally stop, you won’t be missed.
I get the feeling he’ll realize this shortly.
Enjoy these replies o/
All the things, my friend. ALL the things are wrong with this post.
Thank you for your cool headed and rational responses to dudes trying to justify what is clearly superficial misogyny.
