@timobrien1: And BBC America thinks we want to watch reruns of "Star Trek: The Next Generation."

The 10" model will be out in 6 to TWELVE months? So in other words, there's a chance that Dell will still be playing catch-up to the first generation iPad right around the time the third generation iPad is about to be announced. Perfect.

I love it how these minor e-book players couldn't manage to make a black/grey model until Amazon did. Then all of a sudden it's—oh hey, let's do one in 'graphite'!

Kind of a meaningless chart.

No mention of storage capacity, memory expansion slots, or price. That makes me think none of those are issues they want to crow about. Bad sign.

@MrRainMan: Don't forget: iOS was originally being developed for a tablet—Steve Jobs just transitioned the R&D from that project because he saw the interface and realized that it could work on a new kind of phone.

@FriedPeeps: Why would Amazon still be running commercials for the old model Kindle?

@yurkinator: One of my favorite shows from the '90s. I was really looking forward to seeing where they would have taken things in year 2, once

#3: Not to mention, featuring pictures of actors who didn't appear in the actual movie...

@Chinedu Opara: You're comparing storage with RAM—two different things. (The iPad only has 256MB of RAM, too.) The iPod Touch has anywhere from 8GB to 64GB of flash memory.

@gstatty: Yep. It's going to be a heated competition to see who can come in second behind the iPad this Christmas...

@jayhudgeons: Because the holes they're using to lower supplies, etc. are about 6 inches in diameter.

@Brandon Harris: Can I just refer to them as "people next to me on the train who won't shut the f*ck up for the entire half-hour ride?"

That's perfect! Just in time to miss the holiday shopping season, and to be overshadowed by Apple's announcement of the 2nd generation iPad.

@Crrash: Personally, I've seen them like crazy in airports, at a number of conferences I've attended over the past few months, and being used by some sales people who have visited our offices lately. (I've also seen a fair number of full laptops—Mac and Windows).

@The Lab: Once they (inevitably) double the memory on the iPod Touch to 128GB, there will little or no point in continuing production of the iPod Classic.
