I think it’s telling that the current Jez staff appears to know every contestant in the Bachelor franchise and all the personal details of the “waitstaff” from Bravo spin-offs yet seem largely unfamiliar with three very successful female actor/producer/directors who are all highly regarded for their work.

It’s very 1990s—serial killer chic—but at the time, I really enjoyed Copycat. Holly Hunter AND Sigourney Weaver. And when Weaver’s character (“Helen”, because of course there’s still more name collision) starts chewing the walls, she is really chewing the walls.

So this is a feminist website that can’t tell some extremely talented and successful women apart? Makes total sense!

I liked Helen Hunt in “What Women Want” with Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster in Contact and Silence of the Lambs.  My only memorable viewing of Holly Hunter was Batman/Superman, So the Helen - Jodie confusion was all I ever endured.

I love Jodie Foster, and like Brooke Shields she somehow survived a horrible stage mother and all the temptations of 70s and 80s Hollywood to go onto to an ivy league school and great success as an actor and director. And Taxi Driver? The woman deserves all the respect.

Anyone want to bet on when Shithead starts making the case that she should step down “for the good of her own health”? I’m going with two weeks from now, around August 1. How is that the same? A statue honors something and people aren’t given a choice to opt-in on it. You have to seek out a tv show on a streaming service.

exactly, pulling of those shows have nothing to do with protecting minorities from the kind of harmful imagery these shows had, but protecting said shows and white people from being called out in the future. dont hide your hand, yall knew exactly what yall were doing with those episodes, just be prepared to explain…
