Never take “one last” anything. Always take “one more.” One more lap, one more ride, one more donut...

I like to see how long I can no-pedal it in first and just idle along while everyone else stresses out.

Right there with ya Bradley. For fifty bucks, I rent a U-Haul AT (auto-transport) for hauling my car to track days every time. Sure, I could buy my own, but then I have to store it, insure it, tag it, maintain it, etc... Or for fifty bucks, I get a trailer and no fuss. Just gotta make some wood blocks for next time so

I replace the rubber in the beam style ones all the time. You pop off the end caps, slide off the plastic guards, then pop off the center piece where it connects to the car. There’s a little connector in there that comes off, and you replace the rubber and reassemble. Some of the newer ones have little anti-tamper

Yet more reasons I have and shall never purchase a car from a dealership...

I work for MINI and have 75 of these to annoy me. I literally go around the lot and straighten them every time I get in and out of a car. I use the buttons on the wheel instead.

My E39 had an active cooled alternator. Seriously cool. It even had its own dedicated duct in the grille.

I humbly disagree as racecars are all about heat management, and the technology gains in radiators, cooling, etc have a huge impact with today’s generations of turbo everything and dozens of computers.

Detailing guy here: Those would be hugely satisfying to detail, especially once I receive the check for all of the extra hours!

I humbly disagree, the Mazda has been extremely easy to work on. I DIY 100% of everything and this car has been as easy as my old 90s Tacoma (the gold standard for easy). Nothing is that hard to get to, everything is logical, I don’t see any part on the entire car I would even remotely consider “difficult” except

No amount of money would convince me to own a VW out of warranty. I wouldn’t hesitate to own a Mazda until it returned to the salt of the earth.

I wouldn’t be concerned at all. I’ve owned my truck for 23 years and there are absolutely ZERO service records on it through Carfax. It’s never been to a mechanic its entire life. I’ve meticulously maintained it myself all these years and kept my own records, but the dealership has never seen it.

Hell, I spent 8 months searching for an E82 without a nav screen. I loathe in-car screens, and my phone is forever banished to a pocket, never to be seen while driving.

I gave my realtor three rules: 2 car garage, decent yard for the dog, AND NO HOA!!! I wouldn’t even look at a house with an HOA, no exceptions.

I’d happily burn that down!

I like the 650hp version better.

That’s amazing. The Rolex 24 Hours seems to be WAY more of a party and yet it feels about 0% as dirty. NASCAR fans really are special...

But... there’s a zipper... right there... right on the front...

I couldn’t agree more. I searched for 8 months to find an E82 BMW WITHOUT the stupid iDrive screen. Beautiful orange gauges, tactile buttons galore, and I can control every function in the car without moving my eyes off the road.

We use this same gold foil sheet all over the TransAm cars for heat shielding. It’s cool and shiny and impressive, and honestly not terribly exotic or expensive.
