I had a 1993 318is 5MT and yeah, it was a punchy little four banger. I never once desired more power driving it around, it was ultra-reliable, and shockingly decent on fuel consumption. I genuinely miss that car. Had a full E36 M3 interior swap (Vaders) that I scored and a nice set of mild coilovers. Great car.

In truth, there’s a very high chance it’s purely a non-functional prop engine and the whole rig is run by the stunt-car-standard crate LS up front. Even ECTO-1 had a crate LS in it, as well as every car in the F&F franchise.

I use these things every time I go to a track day.
