I went to a launch event for this car up at Summit Point Raceway and got to chase Jeff Andretti for a few laps. It was a very capable car even though it weighs about as much as a bus. The most memorable thing though was climbing in shotgun with Jeff at the wheel after my laps. He casually peeled off the tape covering

I started driving dirtbikes at 8 and grandpa’s tractor at 9, but the first time I drove a vehicle on the street was 11 or so. We got to the bottom of the mountain my grandparents lived at the top of, and my grandpa stopped and said, “I’m tired, you drive.” We swapped seats and I drove his 80s Dodge Dakota 5MT all the

As much as I love my Miatas, I’m gonna say CP on this one. $2,400 is simply too much. I paid way less for a way cleaner NA a few years back that only needed minor maintenance.

Why do we care about the new Jeep’s turn signals? When have you ever seen a Jeep using the turn signals? They’re about as useful as the ones on BMWs. /s

Manuals hold a gear as long as you want them to.

Back in 1998, I paid ten grand for a 96 Tacoma that’s run flawlessly for 20 years. Literally no breakdowns, never been to a mechanic, never been on a tow truck, nothing. In all that time, I’ve replaced fluids/disposables and a valve cover gasket. That’s it. Original alternator, water pump, everything.

A clutch in a 1st gen Tacoma only takes a couple hours to change, less with a lift and a helper.

Not a Millennial here, but as a supporter of the Manual Transmission Preservation Society, I will not accept automating All Of The Things. I say LESS automation, and MORE hang up the phone and learn how to freakin’ drive!!!

Is it just me, or does this one have a radio delete? If so, T = TRACK, because when I’m Touring the countryside, I’m doing it with Golden Earring cranked to 11.

My car is easy to find because I park in the furthest spot away from everything.

Even more sensible advice, stay on the throttle downhill. Much higher potential v-max at WOT on a downhill than coasting. ;)

Plus, some cars like almost all newer BMWs don’t even have throttle butterflies anymore. I was amazed to pull my N51-powered BMW apart and learn that there is no throttle body at all. The potential maximum lift of the intake valves is adjusted constantly, and that serves as the “butterflies”. It’s amazing technology.

Buy it and store it in my neighborhood. No HOA, cool neighbors, and I promise to take it out for donuts every Saturday morning.

Honestly, none at all. I drive a car that drinks 93 octane anyway, so I’m screwed no matter what.

Northern Virginia traffic was so bad at all times that I rode my bike to work, 18 miles, and made it home before everybody else.

I watched it via. Plex first thing Sunday morning.

All that is nice, Alex, but it’s BATHURST WEEKEND!!!!!

If offered a choice between a Prius and a Dodge van, I’ll walk.

I literally can’t play this game. One of the first questions is “Which car would you lease?” giving you only the options of a Toyota Prius or a Dodge minivan.

I would take the time to be at the factory for much of the assembly. Maybe see if I can screw in a bolt or two, or help build the engine. I love that stuff.
