A few things,
A few things,
The best way to counter voter suppression tactics is to overwhelm them. You don’t have to vote twice when you and everyone you know with the same mindset show up to vote once. Republicans win with light turnouts; Democrats win with overwhelming turnouts.
When he loses, he and all of his GOP sycophants will conduct a scorched earth campaign to destroy every remaining shred of our democracy before being hauled out at gunpoint when the Idiot King refuses to leave in January.
That vile sentient bag of liposuction waste will be THE absolute reason why when you lose a…
Don’t forget how much he slammed the Electoral College before the election, then changed his mind.
Forcibly removed. Fingers crossed. I want to see him in handcuffs.
Trump will never willingly leave office. I honestly believe that we will either have President for life Trump or he will have to be forcibly removed from the White House.
Apparently some of the MAGAs think absentee ballots and vote by mail are radically different concepts.
I’m also starting to worry about what Mr. Totally Stable is going to do if he is defeated.
This fuckin’ guy. Besides all the shit and damage he’s done during his term, I’m just tired of seeing his face and listening to him babble gibberish every. damn. day. Ughhhhhh.
The take that Interview with the Vampire* is a terrible film is a valid one. It’s one of those films that’s so very... well, just so very - that it stands outside of conventional tastefulness and you have to decide if you’re willing to go with it or not. [c.f., on a vampiric theme, Coppola’s Bram Stoker’s Dracula]. I…
Can’t say I agree. Keanu Reeves did sort of nail the part as the unworldly harker... And Monica bellucci, tucked away in a bit part as one of the bride’s of Dracula, was great. But then, she’s never less than stellar.
C’mon, Biden. All you have to do is continue to point out Trump’s childish behavior (along with his corruption, incompetence and treason). Rational people are tired of the dopey name-calling. It was never clever and it’s even less so in a time of national crisis.
There’s an old movie theater in my town that screens cult classics (I saw The Lost Boys and The Craft there last October). When they finally get around to showing Interview With the Vampire, I will be there. Possibly in costume.
It is certainly not the same since ye olde Anna Holmes days. I really really miss the OG Jezebel and damn Gawker, brings a tear to my eye. I think the majority of the writers now are very young millennials (mid-to-late 20s/early 30s tops) and the tone has clearly adapted to that generation. Long live the days of Erin…
The performances really saved this, and Cruise got to display his comedic chops, which don’t get enough onscreen time—he’s got terrific timing. Louis was boring but frankly he’s boring in the book too. It’s the story he’s telling that’s interesting.
They are click baiting us olds.
I absolutely love it too. Gary is the definitive Dracula. Poor Keanu was the big stinker in this. He seems like such a lovely person, but he was so out of his depth. I had an old professor who said “Oh Keanu bless his heart, he tries.”
AGREED. Tom Cruise is a delight in this film. The scene of him dancing with Claudia’s dead mom tells you everything you need to know about this movie and it’s glorious. Megan’s take is bad.
“jeremy renner looks like a baby that is also a grandfather.”
So don’t make comments. Or start watching this show. It’s great.
