There is a 1994 Accord wagon on BaT right now at $10k with 2 days to go. However, that accord has 10x the miles on the odo.

I don’t think it will touch the $25k, but I agree there is someone who has a special place in their heart for this car, and has a pocket full of cash. My guess it will go $16k to $18k OTD to a weird collector.

Keep in mind, this is Vern Eide and not only are they “Home of the Eide Effect”, but they’ve also been “Putting customers first since 1965".

Looking at BaT there is a 94 Accord wagon with cloth interior and 10x the miles currently bid to $10k with two days remaining in the auction.

You have reached your independent thought limit for the day. Please return after 12:00 AM in your current time zone if you would like to express another independent thought.

It wasn’t long ago when CEOs were essentially telling the public, and shareholders that the days of full car lots were more or less a thing of the past.

Does someone have a list of dealers who appeared to take advantage of the lower inventory markets of 2021 and 2022?

The biggest issue I have with Mercedes-Benz is their hard departure from the days when the numbers generally referred to engine displacement.

This type of deviant behavior starts young. Usually these types of criminals get their start ghost riding their BMX bikes, seeing who can make it the farthest before some law of physics ends it.

Even if they did a plaid paint scheme for a plaid Model X, I’d be all over it.

For me, it would have to be paint, not a wrap.

I’d pay extra.

Perhaps they should go a step further and do a full-on Harlequin model. I don’t think VW has the character to pull off such a quirky variant these days.

You’re free to draw your own conclusions, whether they are correct or not.

Ok. Thanks for your input.

I’m not a Clarkson apologist, and while I don’t agree with all of your assertions about him, I think your response was meant with good intentions. I do not know Jeremy Clarkson, though I’d sit down and have a drink with him and try to learn more about the man.

Character flaws aside, his versions of Top Gear were the

Are you ok?

You’re digging deep there.

I’m not here to defend Tesla, but I also think this anti-Tesla trope isn’t one that’s going to build a community of people who care about the content here.

If at the end of the day Jalopnik ceases to exist, that doesn’t change my life very much.

Nothing against any of the talented writers

I wonder if Jalopnik would still be around if it weren’t for the ad revenue generated from anti-Tesla content.

I think his persona, and the exaggeration of it are part of the magic of the trio. But I also think his persona is not unique. Others in media have established equally polarizing personas that are not necessarily a reflection of their life out of the spotlight.

In the case of Clarkson and crew, his persona, like it or

100%. Every derivative and localized version just didn’t have the vibe.

I don’t care if the Clarkson, Hammond, May version of Top Gear was highly scripted, over-produced and carefully orchestrated. I also don’t know for sure if those guys are friends in real life, or not. However, they did seem to have authentic

As someone who options up vehicles to the max, I’m good with these option packages and trim levels. Easy buying experience, and easier to cross-shop dealerships.

Can’t you go to the box office to buy that ticket and avoid the fees?

I haven’t bought tickets in ages, so I don’t know.
