Devious and unethical? I can live with that. I don’t expect much from car dealers. It seems like their entire franchise dealership industry is based on a set of double standards and loose ethics.

What I’m curious about are the details and facts here.

Comfort is subjective, but I’d say that there are plenty of those on the market today that fit the comfort objective while not pretending to be a race car. 

I don’t think that this is a nice price because of the unknowns. For me, a wrapped car that shows examples of neglect or outside storage drops the value by 70% to me. That $15k car as it is would be a <$5k car.

I hope that someone doesn’t pay $15k for this. 

When I was a teenager I drove a number of cars that I wouldn’t step into today. My logic was similar to David Tracy where I bought the worst example of the best car. That logic holds up for real estate, not so much for heavily depreciated cars that cost more to bring back to good, than to just buy a good one to begin…

Look, show me the ad and let me know the identity of the dealer. I want to understand the facts.

I’m not of the belief that a dealer group that uses this as a standard practice is doing so without some parameters and disclaimers provided by attorneys who are playing into the law. Maybe I’m wrong. However, I bet this is more an issue of ethics than it is of legality. 

Ok, you’re welcome to disagree, but I’ve not seen the ad, and if this is a multi-location/multi-brand dealership group, I imagine that they’re not going to blatantly flout laws that would end up costing them more than the benefit they’d receive by being “clever” with their advertising and marketing.

Have you been able to get the sauerkraut recently? I’ve been to multiple locations that have all said they do not have sauerkraut. I assumed they jettisoned the kraut everywhere.
