Tough crowd.

Regardless of the final outcome, there are great stories here, and a lot of detail, and probably a tad of fabricated drama added for fun.

Would you be so kind as to provide a list of vehicles that you approve of for hauling the average American middle-class family around town?

I’d have bought a ‘22, but I knew this was ripe for a refresh soon. I like Honda and Toyota, but I like the Hondas a bit more to drive. The Highlander in hybrid and AWD in the top trim was a compelling choice, and outclassed the 22 Pilot.

$56B seems justifiable. Austin has become quite pricy since he moved there, at $56B he can live a comfortable, upper middle class life, which is really the least you could expect for someone like him.

Namaste, my friend.

With the strong reputation GM has earned for their legendary build quality, why would anyone care if this car has $165k miles? I mean, a car like this was probably owned by a grandmother who drove it gingerly to her hair appointments, and pickleball games. Nothing at all here to worry about. :)

I’m truly surprised this is such a close race. 165k miles on a car like this is enough reason to walk away and not look back.

That sounds like a fun minivan. You were married in high school? More power to you.

I disagree with today’s cars being too fast or quick. To me, they’re just right. The HP and torque when done right, and matched with a transmission and drivetrain that can hold up, make today’s fast and quick cars versatile. I mean fast

This is true. In my mind, a real and true sleeper is something that is built, and not bought.

I had an import car that while not large on the cruise ship proportions of domestics of the 1980s, was large enough to slip a Cobra-spec 5.0 under the hood. I kept visual cues of my conversion to a bare minimum, resisting my

I have to respectfully disagree that they are identical, but since you had to state your ownership status, for the record, I am not an owner.

I’m sorry for you. I hope you can find peace and deal with whatever it is that got you to where you are. I wish you well.

I want to take your comment as a compliment, but I’m also really bad at assessing sarcasm. So, if your intent was to be friendly, thank you. If instead you feel my writing is on par what is expected of a 3rd grader, I’m open to all of the criticism you can dish out.

Lol. I love bot accounts.

Definitely a sleeper in the spirit of built, not bought. Yes, Fairmont wagons take this fox body sleeper to the next level.

I second any fox body-based sleeper.

You win. Yes. All of that chrome and lame styling make it a perfect sleeper. To me the SS isn’t a sleeper based on the name alone.

I support this generation of SHO as a sleeper.

Nope. Disagree, the R63 is a true AMG and styled as such. There’s no slinking around in a true AMG.

Any post suggesting a full on AMG car knows not what a sleeper is intended to be, which is a car that is known to be slow, but happens to be fast/quick. True AMG cars are styled as such, and make a statement of power on

Hmm. The odd form factor with a beefy powertrain make it a less noticeable hot rod, but still it was clad in full AMG regalia and entirely distinguishable from its non-AMG brethren. True AMG = the opposite of a sleeper. Unless someone lives in a hole, they know a real AMG and won’t be fooled with any stoplight racing

Yes, inherently not a sleeper if it is a full fat AMG wagon.

Not really a sleeper, even debadged these are recognizable as AMG beast mobiles.

Now, if you dropped the powertrain into a non AMG-styled version, perhaps you have a sleeper.

As it stands, no proper AMG vehicle is a sleeper.
