Oh gosh. Hey, it looks like this possibly poor attempt at humor didn’t hit the mark.
Now that you have the context that my attempt was to elicit a chuckle, I kindly ask that you re-read it. I will also re-read it, and though I can no longer edit the content, I’ll make sure that I better vet my humor before hitting the…
Not trolling at all, just a bit of humor to brighten the day.
ha!!!
Is it clear that the owner of this GT was a man? I would venture a guess that this is a woman-owned car. Men aren’t smart enough to appreciate things for what they are. Too many silly men put these up on blocks and show them to their physician friends, and sell them on having never driven them.
Only a smart woman…
What’s your definition of functional?
If it was able to roll down a hill, steer and stop, that’s a function. What do you have against EV startups?
Nikola? The only thing that seems fraudulent is the use of the name Nikola. It seems like the Nikola should have been a special edition Tesla. Much in the way that the Enzo was a model of Ferrari.
No doubt. Unless you’re buying a dedicated track day car, you have to find that balance between everyday reliability and usage, versus a car that will meet your skill today, and allow the car to progress with you.
The Miata is a solid choice for many reasons.
The car needs to express your personality, character, and…
I totally respect that. I’m not against automatics. I’m also not ride or die on manuals. Both have their plusses and minuses and those things are both subjective and objective depending on the person and the intended use of the vehicle.
I’ve driven the A10, it is solid. As a daily, that transmission paired to a 3rd…
That’s a good point. It is interesting how manuals used to have the win on efficiency, and in some cases it was a large margin.
All good suggestions, but I feel like they’re the predictable answers, with maybe the exception of the C6.
Even if you’re one of the fortunate 20 somethings where there’s enough money to live and plan for the future, it is a great time to temper big spending, and also understand the TCO of any vehicle. TCO includes of…
Oh goodness. Calm down. You must be a hoot at parties.
Not sure why you felt the “lol” was necessary, but I doubt that behavior will get you out of the greys. You’re entitled to your opinion, and whatever it may be, I respect it.
0-60 and 1/4 mile times aren’t my only metric for fun. Though good, the 10-speed isn’t as engaging as a manual in all situations. Paddles are…
I totally hear this. I really, honestly, and genuinely love the S550. It is a good vehicle. Not that any Ford isn’t without its problems, but dang, even in basic spec, the S550 GT is a fun dang car. Even with the 10-speed slushbox, the car is no slouch. It feels good right from the factory.
The design is good and still…
ND for me, but I don’t think the price is crazy. I just don’t see the appeal of this particular car. For me the color combo isn’t right, and the two missing cylinders is a let down. I had a friend with one of these. His was the same year, and it was gifted to him when he finished med school in the early 2000s. All I…
I respect your right to a cynical view, but I do not jive with this sentiment.
Regular cab pickups in particular have limited utility as a family vehicle. Once they became regularly available as 4 doors, they took on a new identity and a number of expanded use cases.
By this time, US style and expectations had evolved. Wagons in the US were ubiquitous until the minivan changed the game. Then came the Explorer. A few years later the RX converted the Camry into the go-to family hauler. Wagons haven’t yet made it back to us yet.
Yuck. Well, these are the times in which we live!
Sporty trucks are cool, but have always seemed like the least practical daily I could imagine.
