My dad used to tell me there was no point in getting married unless you wanted kids. The kicker is that he was probably forgetting I knew he got my mom pregnant accidentally because she wasn’t supposed to have kids and married her after I was born.

Me too. 40, married, childless. My mother never let me forget how much it disappointed her, and after she died my dad never let me forget I disappointed her. I’m still sure I made the right decision.
