YES! The you cant critisize something unless you have done something yourself of equal or better than what you are criticizing is bullshit. And marvel movies have plain plots and villains is a general criticism made by many fans, critics and other artists. How is this so hard to get for you? I am seriously curious.

You cant even name the character redford played. And while he was the central villain, he wasn’t the main villain, that would be the winter soldier, the guy the movie is named after, and, who like most marvel movie villains, has powers that exactly mirror those of the hero. The only way that isn’t true is loki, again…

Im sorry I thought it was universally accepted as truth and not being negative that marvel movies had weirdly bright colors, bland repetitive plots and villains but that it was ok because most marvel films are fun with good characters and action beats. Did I miss something?

Its not a hot take, its commonly accepted truth even by marvel fans who have an emotional stability that prevents their brains from exploding when they see a complimentary opinion of something that they dont think is complimentary enough.
