Even Israeli journalists and the IDF debunked that claim. It’s a hijacking of a witness account of a Palestinian baby being put in an oven by Zionist soldiers during the Deir Yassin massacre in 1948, but with the participants reversed.

If you’re just asking about the Middle East, Al-Qaeda and Nour al-Din al-Zenki (and other Syrian rebel groups) are pretty clear examples. Worldwide, the Nicaraguan Contras and the Kosovo Liberation Army off the top of my head.

Yeah, I also see this as a problem, being pushed from both sides. Racists want to conflate Jews with Israel so they can point to the actions of war criminals like Netanyahu and his government and say “see, Jews are bad”. On the other side, Israeli nationalists also want to conflate Jews with Israel so they can claim

The statement isn’t dumb, I think you’re just taking it more literally than it was intended. It gives a personal, humanised example as inspiration to consider adjacent things without them having to explicitly spell out each one.

Yep, because I’m used to it and I’d prefer to stay with the one control device throughout. If it was a dedicated driving game I’d prefer to use my wheel and pedals, but that makes the keyboard and mouse harder to access if I have to swap to FPS/TPS.

Haha, no problem. I just wasn’t sure if there was a rumour floating around about the AI getting worse.

wanted to finish with apathetic cops and smarter enemies

I think it’s a matter of skill. I’ve played very few games in my life that felt clunky with keyboard and mouse, and none of them were GTA. But I’m well-skilled in keyboard and mouse for gaming, while I’ve needed or wanted a gamepad less and less, only really using it when I’ve had no choice.

Maybe they really want people to buy the game once on console and then again on PC?

I did love his appearance in the X-Files.

I think this gets to the crux of the problem. Crossovers in games are like mashup songs. They can be good, but it has to be done in a way that’s harmonious. Alien and Predator crossovers work well because they’re franchises with similar rhythms so when you lay them on top of each other they still work.

Old man yells at cloud

This could be a good topic for your first podcast.

Even with the skill points, eating food doesn’t really have any value. Double fuck all is still pretty much fuck all.

I guess I missed that Thrive made an ultimatum requiring Altman be in charge, thanks for the info. Do you have a source so I can read up on it?

The ‘profit focus’ doesn’t gel with the staff walkout threats though. Hundreds of technical staff don’t threaten to revolt because the company got rid of the guy focusing too much on the profit business.

It’s a pretty interesting term, though. Crocs are known to shed tears while eating, so way back in the BCE times it was a saying that crocodiles wept for their victims as they ate them. The saying basically called out people who privately wished harm on others but then publicly mourned for them after harm befell them

No puzzle category, but somehow five esports categories and a ‘content creator of the year’ category full of people I’ve never heard of :|

I’m not sure that’s true. This particular effort is being spent on trying to paint Google in a negative light (no comment on if deserved or not) in hopes it’ll swing on-the-fence jurors, but it’s got nothing to do with Epic’s actual claims.
