we get to see how weird things get when a corporation digs into its trove of IP and mixes it all together with little care or concern for thematic coherence

If the list of episode-to-book claims is a legit part of his suit, he also claims Rings of Power contained the first ever appearance of a female dwarf, despite there being one in the first Hobbit movie.
I think Fuzunga was referring to the Morrowing expansion for ESO. The box art is inspired by the Tribunal expansion art but much more closely matches the tattoo design.
I’d be down for that, as long as it also has cheesy PS1-era writing.
I don’t think you’re in much position to be complaining about being condescended to, pot/kettle. And I’m not “offering” you anything, the onus of showing the mechanisms by which your views will produce a societal benefit is on you.
I appreciate that you’ve got ideas about the evils of capitalism. I’m glad you’re on that journey; like I said elsewhere, I’m a socialist myself. But just railing against the system isn’t good enough, and mindless brute force solutions like “just abolish all the things” are the revolutionary equivalent of thoughts and…
People don’t need money to survive; money is just a representation of value. What people need to survive is food, water, shelter, etc. and those things all have a fundamental value, whether it’s represented by money or barter or something else. Either way, you still need to have something of value to exchange.
Reform is the only achievable option. As any system project manager will attest, you never replace a brownfield project wholesale. The correct way to fix the problems in a system like copyright is to break the existing system down into its natural parts - in service of specific objectives - and repair each in-place…
Copyright definitely needs reform (especially the duration), but it absolutely shouldn’t be abolished. Just because the dam overspills sometimes doesn’t mean it’s not holding back a whole lot worse.
Yeah, it’s much longer than even HZD’s shader building.
You’re most welcome, I really appreciate you letting me know I’m on the right track. Sure, there were 6 upvotes, but your comment is just so much more personal.
I got the impression the XG is optional, not required for the device to run.
It’s Asus, so expect it to be $800+.
Could be, but the 3090 has 24GB of VRAM and I’d be surprised if it was eating all of it. I think the in-game estimate is only about 15GB with my current settings.
What’s your GPU and compilation time? I’m curious to compare with mine (3090 and about 20 minutes).
Aside from the shader compilation taking an unusually long time, the only issues I’ve had with this have been crashes when trying to use DLSS.
My partner and I really had no problem with this show. It seemed to have high production values with in-form pacing for Lord of the Rings. Whether it was worth its production budget I couldn’t say, but we definitely didn’t have the problems with it others seemed to.
It’s been addressed, twice now. Here’s where I addressed each claim you made:
That’s only true of elastic fibres like lycra. Anything that pills also lints - polyester lints about the same as cotton, and nylon and acrylic are both in the same ballpark.
Octopus only raised two pieces of information (by no means “a bunch”) - that PS Store pulled it, and Xbox extended its refund policy. Neither Steam nor EGS changed their refund policy. I did address the console issue when I wrote this:
