I had a teacher when I was in middle school (about 30 years ago) whose wife survived polio as a child. I’ve also seen polio’s effects first-hand, and will never forget it.

And that’s why I don’t understand why people still talk about this episode. Everyone knows the answer to the trolley problem. Is it pleasant? No, but the right answer’s a no-brainer.

These people grew up and became parents and wondered why they should get their children vaccinated against something that, as far as their experience told them, wasn’t a risk.

the likelihood that a digital store closes without notice and doesn’t get hit with a barrage of lawsuits seems very low.

Once they transitioned to more of a digital distribution, I simply stopped buying DVDs. I don’t buy movies digitally and avoid buying games digitally as well.

Doesn’t matter if your computer didn’t come with an optical drive. You can get an external Blu-Ray/DVD drive for decently cheap, and it’s well worth the price for the ability to rip whatever physical media you own. Buy a movie/CD, rip & encode a digital copy to your preferred format & quality, then put the original

I mean, the average person got rid of their DVDs and CDs as soon as they got Netflix and Spotify
