Once they transitioned to more of a digital distribution, I simply stopped buying DVDs. I don’t buy movies digitally and avoid buying games digitally as well.
Doesn’t matter if your computer didn’t come with an optical drive. You can get an external Blu-Ray/DVD drive for decently cheap, and it’s well worth the price for the ability to rip whatever physical media you own. Buy a movie/CD, rip & encode a digital copy to your preferred format & quality, then put the original…
I mean, the average person got rid of their DVDs and CDs as soon as they got Netflix and Spotify
