Lot of 06+ Bmws and Minis require thin walled spark plugs sockets due to the tight clearance of the slot.

You need to buy the special BMW... er... Toyota spark plug socket wrench.  Only $65 at your local Toyota dealer.  BMW won’t sell you one.
