Fair point. But Logitech also sold the Harmony Link via fire sales earlier this year and purposely offered a short warranty. They knew the certificate was going to expire in spring 2018 and that they were not going to renew it, yet still chose to sell products they knew they would not be supporting within a year and…

The key phrase is “sold by Logitech” here. The affected Harmony Link was sold through retailers well after 2015. (Side note, I feel like I remember seeing these listed under the Kinja Deals platform within the last year, but that could have been a newer model.)

Well that’s one way to guarantee I’ll never buy a Logitech product that is dependent on cloud services.
