What exactly do you mean by a “real” job? Are you trying to say that your job is somehow more real than hers or did you put the quotations because you understand that that’s not really the correct contextual word? “Traditional” job might be apt, but illustrator is a very real job, it takes time, effort, mental

The rich are rich by exploiting those poorer than them. It’s a universal truth.

Good Morning America still exists? Huh.

Does the word classic mean something else these days?

Absolutely nothing to see here. All is well.

They’re no different than you and I. A lot of them either come from money or get extremely fucking lucking and hit the jackpot in order to make their money.

But strip em of their wealth, their power, their name, and then tell them to build back their money all over again?  I guarantee you none of them could do it.

It’s all hype and FOMO. All the due diligence in the world can point to “this shit seems sketchy,” and considering it was a crypto project it should’ve, but if the people in charge get a good feeling it doesn’t matter.

Does anyone else feel like they could go in to a meeting with some of these higher ups, just say a long string of buzz words, and proceed to walk out with 10s of millions of dollars?

Because that’s honestly how I feel right now. Its not even con artistry at this point, these people are just desperate to lose money

He’ll keep dumping billions into the metaverse money pit and we’ll see this happen again in the future. He’s the problem.

Let me guess, he’s also a fan of another conman/grifter.

“You’ve got Twitter.”

Say what you want about Elon, I think he’s a brilliant engineer.

but hes not a brilliant engineer.  hes just a carnival barker.  spacex is thriving in spite of elon. and teslas engineers cant stand him.  hes not popular here in austin and people only go there to have it on their resume and they start looking at other places immediately.

What if we mail CDs to everyone in the world with a copy of the Twitter client. We then give them like 300 hours of free Twitter access and after those 300 hours we get them to pay a monthly fee.

I’ve a coworker who’s a Musk devotee. I’ve tried to explain to him on several occasions how Musk is largely a grifter and conman. Watching him drive one of the biggest social media companies off a cliff like it’s a flaming Tesla is extremely funny to me.

Whenever we hire people, I always make sure they have access to our garage bathroom and we buy them lunch even if it’s not an all day job.

I can’t imagine what it would be like to live in a house maintained by people who hate me. Leaving all the pesky moral and ethical issues aside, I simply wouldn’t be able to touch anything, wear anything, eat anything, etc. knowing that my abuse victims had full access to it all when I wasn’t there. You’d think that

I have several of them unplayed or little played in my Steam library, and only Overwatch would have made my list. Granted, I would never claim to have my finger on the pulse of the mainstream.

Not everyone is pursuing a master’s degree in Medieval History.

I can see the point of these lists when it comes to consoles with their limited lifespans..
