Sheila's agoraphobia is lifted straight from the UK version though it seemed less ridiculous there, somehow. I think the speed of the transition made it a bit too silly here.

That's like yelling "DON'T PUSH THE RED BUTTON" at George Bush Jr.

Speaking of which, weren't we supposed to be getting a Dexter spin-off?

Always expected she'd die sooner rather than later. As likable as she is, the show is bound to centre on Carrie and Hood's relationship again before much longer and that requires Siobhan be removed from the picture. This being Banshee, people can't just break up and live happily ever happen, that'd just be ludicrous.

My word, this show is bonkers. It's at a point where I need your text review to fully comprehend each episode, there's just so many moving parts it's hard to keep track at times.

Sometimes they do get it right like when The Who featured on the show, but there are 5 examples of them getting it very wrong for every example of them getting it right. It's so unnecessary too when you consider how many interesting characters the town has.

"Futurama-stye tube transport system"

I think the last line is in reference to the band, U2. Obviously he listened to their album after it was inexplicably forced upon him for free and had some sort of nervous breakdown.

Wait, what? I'm British and can't remember such a ridiculous show being aired over here. I feel like this would have sparked some water-cooler conversation and media attention, even in a country far less conservative than the US with your bible mentalists, "family values" (how do you not consider that patronising, by

You should pitch that spin-off to the networks. Elementary: LA.

So you're suggesting Kitty will be written out of the show by ending up in prison? I hope not, she's the most interesting character at this point.

No, you're right, it's damned if you do, damned if you don't. It was just alarming how weak these characters are because they've failed to develop them thus far and how disappointed that made me with the episode.

I'll never be OK with a series finale of Parks & Rec, but if there really has to be one - and it's starting to seem like they're not bluffing - then you're right, this ranks among the best ever episodes of the show.

Surprised by how positive the review was, I thought this was a pretty dire episode, one showcasing how weak and poorly developed the supporting cast is, which is the cost of killing off those who were actually interesting and effected the dynamic of the show by their character's presence - ie. Tommy (I know that was

Oh AV Club, don't ever change…

I love this cast so much, Aubrey Plaza in particular, she was born to play April. So happy it's back, so sad that this is the final season.

"I've watched Hamlet a bunch of times (and read it and acted in it) and I don't remember the porn production stuff."

This is like giving the creators of Sharknado a billion dollar budget to make a sequel.

Even if the possibility of it sucking is a 99.9999% chance? Surely we can make an exception here?

Sorry to break up what is undoubtedly the geekiest AV Club thread I've ever seen (which is quite the achievement, good work all) but I just want to say that I really enjoyed the premiere. Great cast, interesting premise for a show, excellent setting - I really think this could be a surprise hit. But only if they
