I have the most generic, boring first name paired with a generic, boring last name. My advice to parents: look at the most popular names for the last few years, and for the love of all that is good, DO NOT GIVE THOSE NAMES TO YOUR KID. I’ve always been one of about 5 women with the same name in every class I’ve ever

When I was a younger than ten, my parents would help me find an substitution if there was something in a meal I didn’t like. After that, if I didn’t like breakfast/lunch/dinner, it was my responsibility to make my own. It worked well and I learned how to cook basic foods before leaving elementary school.

“ The new person playing the “Vulvatron character” has been announced. “

This is amazing. Thanks, Tina, for revealing the shape-wear struggle to such a broad national audience.

I never dated a ton (i started late) but I had dated a couple shitty dudes and I think that I had to do that for some reason to get a real idea of how selfish and shitty people can be. When I met Mr. FIP there was never a doubt in my mind and nothing could break us up. I’d like to think it’s always this way when it is

As a longtime married, who would marry my husband all over again, I’ve learned something really important:

Thank you for writing this and for sharing this person’s story. I hope this gets mainpaged on every website across the interwebs. My daughter has a serious allergy to tree nuts (as in her throat will swell shut and she could die) and a good fifty percent of the time, when asking the server about the ingredients of a

I don’t want to get married, but I’ll take these two. Just wrap them up, please.

I was just talking about this the other day. How advertisements for female products basically created all modern female insecurities about beauty, hair, motherhood, marriage, and how women still need the media’s permission to feel ok with themselves (“please more ads with fat women, please no more skinny girls!”).

Things like deodorant on the area or other “body glide” gels. I find them less than useless.

Have you tried the long line Jockey shorts? I love spanx too, but the jockey line is nice and more affordable. (Also, its hot as fuck here, so the less I’m wearing, the better.)

You know what’s super feminist? Wearing Spanx if you want to, not wearing them if you don’t. I’ve had dresses I wanted them for, but generally, would rather seem a little less smooth than be uncomfortable. End of story.

Or like someone threw rolls of 50’s frou-frou curtain and bed-sheet material at a bunch of models and it landed kind of like this. These women are tall and thin and yet look (to me) rather drowning in fabric. I can’t imagine what someone without a coat-hanger figure would look like in any of these unwound bolts of

=\ Agreed, it’s actually kinda terrifying and depressing how many people will follow the words of one or two popular people on the Internet as opposed to medical professionals.

She lied about cancer and deceived a bunch of uneducated vulnerable people but she’s a human guys so that negates everything she did.

My favorite though, was when I overheard a new employee who was prepping cucumbers and talking to the dish washer. She thought it was really dishonest that we said some of our sandwiches were vegetarian or vegan when they contained cucumber. The dishwasher was confused and said that cucumbers were vegetables. The

For what it is worth, I go between short and long hair every few years, and find short hair to be way higher maintenance. Cutting hair every 6 months vs. 6 weeks makes a huge difference. I usually need product on short, but not long hair (I have pretty straight hair). I can't do a pixie, because I have a nevus

Because I look terrible with pixie cut and hate going to the stylist all the time?

I'll second the HELL NO. I'm a 31 year old attorney, and my hair is well below shoulder length. There are plenty of other female attorneys whose hair is even longer, and absolutely no one cares (and law is a notoriously conservative profession).
