That's asking too much of some people.

I understood it.

Um... the article says she is a medical assistant? That's scary.

Agreed. They didn't bat an eye years ago when he would openly masturbate during interviews. I think they thought any publicity was good publicity.

It's actually a cool material. You don't see much seersucker these days.

Right? I love the way she just admits it to the customers lol. "Have what I'm drinking!"

Slender Man?

More like a business casual corporate drone. WASPs wear linen suits and seersucker.

So could psychopathy.

Yes, I would be suspicious if not for the wide range of Yelp reviews describing how rude these people are.

That's what baffles me.

That's the amazing thing. Even if the whole thing were some scam, a restaurant that wanted to stay in business would be calling this woman offering to make things right just to avoid the negative publicity.

We don't know that it was a kid. And the main point is that the restaurant never responded to any of the follow ups. Also, there are several negative Yelp reviews regarding the (adult) restaurant staff and owner.

This. If it were really some mix up, they would be eager to clear their name and disavow the scathing Yelp reviews. Businesses will often contact Yelp reviewers who write miserable reviews and try to make it up to them in hopes of a revised review.

Most of the bad Yelp reviews predate this one. The reviewers seem baffled by the treatment in the place.

There are Yelp reviews dating back over a year describing rudeness. It clearly predates this Jezebel article as well as this one woman's complaint.

Yes, but they don't know how much she weighs just from the text.

The Yelp reviews are full of separate anecdotes about the rude staff and owners. My favorite was the drunk waitress.

True, but many of the Yelp reviews describe incredibly bad service that includes being insulted by 1.) a drunk waitress, 2.) a drunk investor in the restaurant, and 3.) rude owner. So in light of that, it would not surprise me if this text was also meant to be insulting.

This is like when my ex broke up with me on the phone on my birthday... and then later on Valentine's Day, via email.
