Who's the joke on, exactly?

Here's my theory: After Last Season slipped through a wormhole into our universe from one where what's considered "great cinema" occupies an area somewhere between Shane Carruth and David Lynch. In that universe, After Last Season is also considered godawful.

Old term for a vegan.

I have a great resistance to anything mafia-plotted. To a degree that baffles the rest of my pop-culture adoring family. So I have watched and enjoyed the first Godfather movie, but haven't been compelled to follow it up with Parts 2 or 3 yet. I liked Goodfellas enough, but not Casino. And pretty much any television

The technical awards were handed out at an earlier ceremony, co-hosted by Chloe Sevigny and JackSepticEye.

Shoulda been nominated for something. Both in its initial form and its more recent, more self-aware and over-the-top incarnation.

I hate that I laughed so hard at this.

Based on this comment alone, I just watched the first eight minutes over on YouTube. I have never experienced more cinematic whiplash in my life. This is utterly amazing.

I'm sure it depends on where you saw it. I was living in Minneapolis, and had one of those appropriately well-behaved audiences typical of the area when I saw the movie during its first month.

I guess we'll have to go find it ourselves.

I remember growing up in the Tri-State area, concerned that eating Carvel ice cream might result in my throat seizing up and my voice becoming as pinched and expectorated as Tom Carvel's was in his ads.

You explicitly inserted the term "trans op gem," implying that Topaz' appearance has something to do with that potential explanation for her gender identity. Basically, you got caught out thinking Topaz might be male, then leapt to the idea of her being "trans op" because she's "butch." and when LL rightly called you

Then why insert the element of gender identity into this discussion at all? You're making yourself look willfully blinkered, if not outright foolish.

Shhhhhhh.

Not outside the realm of possibility, no. The gal's positively bursting with powerful emotion, considering how much her sorrow can affect those around her. Who knows just what her regret might be capable of?
