Especially hard for my mom, since she had to watch her waste away. My little sister and I wanted to see her one last time before she went, but she lives like 45 minutes out of town and we pretty much never have the same day off so we were never able to.

Big Foot has dragged her feet with community service. She hated the first spot but seems to be doing better with the second. She should (fingers crossed) have all of her hours in before the court review. If she does, they cancel that particular review.

I just finished it this afternoon! I’ve done this pattern at least 30 times but I love the way this yarn looks. I call it 1970's sundae animal blanket :)

It’s supposed to be a child flying on a book while wearing aviator googles and cheering for literacy. Instead it looks like she’s facing into a nuclear blast and screaming “My eyes! THE GOGGLES DO NOTHING!” while everything starts to melt.

I think a natural arch is fine, it’s the drawn on high arch that scares me. Lot’s of bad memories from early childhood.

The child’s legs are also frightening me. It looks like he has something going horribly wrong with his lower leg.

She was a stunner, really, and she ultimately made herself look goofy because that’s what female comedians had to do back then. You couldn’t possibly be pretty AND funny.

Lucille Ball scares the shit out of me. I think it’s the really high eyebrows. I went to a fair share of open casket funerals in my childhood and the women always had the same brows. I cannot look at Ball and think anything other than scary, despite her incredible talent.
