The AV Club just told me John Oliver thinks he’s not smart enough to be evil.

Ronan Farrow is so obviously Frank Sinatra’s kid it’s hilarious.
All he does in Man of Steel is save people. He saves a bus full of children, he saves an entire oil rig of workers, he saves Lois, he saves a bunch of soldiers, he then also saves the entire planet. At what point in that movie is he not saving people?
He shouldn’t have eaten that truck stop egg salad sandwich from the bathroom.
I wonder why he spells Dwayne “Dewayne”?
Either way this is really sad, he seems to be struggling with something big. Hate to see people publicly meltdown online like this.
I really can’t wait for the review of episode 7. I hope it’s scathing. It was totally ridiculous.
Joss Whedon did not get the humor in the character. Joss Whedon has never got any humor in any character.
I was a senior in HS when September 11th happened, and we had our yearly talent show. A friend of mine who sings opera wanted to perform, and they let him but mad him sing God Bless the USA. He tried to resist but it was the only way they’d let him in (totally ridiculous). To this day we hate that stupid, crappy song.
Here is her response once she realized what happened:
As a kid my friend had Sim Copter, and I would usually land the helicopter and just walk around the city like I was a citizen. I really just wanted that kind of open world experience. It’s all over the place in games now (Fallout, Skyrim, GTA, etc) but at the time it was a new thing to me
I am not saying it’s right, or agreeing with it, I am just acknowledging this.
That’s kind of what it sounded like to me (the whole Grandpa doesn’t know what he’s doing thing) from the tweet above. That’s how I kind of read it too. I’m not excusing it entirely, but I don’t think he’s a sexual predator or something.
Sports has been this way for as long as sports has existed. Now that the mentality has crossed over to other forms of popular culture it’s suddenly an issue. It’s basically just sports culture, imposed on other things. So strange no one has identified it as an issue until it has to do with a cartoon show, but people…
What world do you live in where liberals don’t criticize capitalism?
There’s a lot of allegations coming out against powerful men abusing that power against women lately. This is terrible news (that these things happen at all), but also good to finally see some consequence to these disgusting actions.
I was a kid when Mario 3 came out, young enough that I needed to be babysat still. I remember at one sitter’s house her kids who were older than me were playing Super Mario 3, and watching them play and find the flutes and know all the secrets and I to this day wonder how the hell that information spread pre-internet.
I’ve seen one of these movies, it was the most recent one where they defeat a nuclear sub or something. Also something about family?
2 Fast 2 Furious came out in 1994?!
Why did this woman willingly do this? Why leave her job to be in a relationship with R. Kelly a man already accused of peeing on underage girls. In 2011 we already all knew he was a creep and pervert.
Kenan and Bobby Moynihan are two of the only cast members who don’t always look like they’re reading lines for the first time.
