Put it in perspective, people! Plus, it's a pretty funny comment.

Tonight our President could have dressed up in a flight suit, said "mission accomplished," AND ACTUALLY FUCKING GOTTEN AWAY WITH IT.
And I thought getting rid of the goths on The Amazing Race was good news!
Trump is demanding to see the death certificate.
It is always astounding to me, the exalted status the game and the players of football are given, both in college and the pros. I assume it's the lifeblood of a college like ND, in terms of alumni donations.
I just want to say that I honestly thought Vaughn using the word "gay" in the trailer was demonstrating the character's assholishness. I truly did. I thought it portrayed the essence of the guy right away, and then the rest of the trailer goes on to show he has this uncharacteristic moral problem, even though he's…
@tiredfairy: Also, if you look at the actual, literal back and forth between me and the OP, she said quote it would not be OK unquote if "fat chicks" were satirized at all, even by great satirists. (ie, Colbert.) I went with it.
@tiredfairy:Hmmm, you sure seem like your opinion is THE one and that mine should be completely dismissed in your last post. Now why is that?
@Think_Then_Speak: It obviously was destructive. Hence the problem with bad satire.
It takes a lot to make Iran look "right" in any situation. Well done, Virginia!
@joythemanatee: Which I assume is code for "I wish I could speak eloquently and coherently about this subject but I'll let others do that for me and chime in with yeah, he's stupid! every now and again, so I at least feel good about my lack of contribution"?
@Slickanicka: You kind of just said, "it's not satire because it's incredibly bad satire," if you look at what you wrote.
@Slickanicka: I respectfully disagree. Colbert IS the source of his satire. He mocks the opinions his character espouses. And I think that's what the article was going for (albeit terribly). The viewpoint itself was the satire.
@snacktastic: Thanks! That's a nice way to end this. If it is indeed over.

@tiredfairy: ALSO, if you look, when I asked the OP about if Colbert, a brilliant satirist, did a bit about fat chicks, would that be OK, she responded "it's never ok". That pretty much answers it for me about her belief in satire, and that's where I took the conversation.
@tiredfairy: My goodness. So many all-knowing "big answer" types.
@Ilovepuppies: I doubt he'll be removed. This is probably it for him. 15 minutes of infamy on a blog. I think the news letter has his back.
@Diziet_Sma: You use many words but say very little. It's unfortunate.
@PICKLES_IN_MY_TUNA: "So much" meaning, he had his work removed, he was apologized for by the news letter he writes for, and he has hundreds of crazed Jezebel commenters calling for his head after having his writing and pictures exposed on one of the internet's most popular blogs for all to see. And all for poor…
