I thought we weren’t talking about spin-offs? Because if we are, it’s also been a mobile game, but I think everyone would agree on mutiny if they made a numbered entry a mobile game.

Whatever FF has been before, though, it wasn’t about reflexes.
Weren’t those for Vita or something like that? I seem to recall thinking to myself “oh, I can’t play that” and then just going about my day. I also seem to recall hearing the story was unfinished.
*high-fives you* You get me.
I’m probably going to hate it. I don’t like action games or action RPGs because my reflexes are balls and the cameras always make me sick. The more I hear about it, the more disappointed I get. Guess Final Fantasy isn’t for me anymore. I’ll just be off playing Bravely and Persona...
Same and same :D I used to replay this game religiously every year until I got old enough to afford more games and now have a ridiculous backlog. But IX will always have a special place in my heart and I would love to play it again on my PS4.
WAIT WHAT?!
Um, I’m not? I’m directly quoting (and then mangling the end of) the posted description for Shounen Maid?
When I stabbed my student loan debt through the heart with a stake and stuffed garlic in its mouth, I upped my retirement savings by the amount I’d been paying monthly into the debt.
I remember doing this and the bastard still noticing me and talking my ear off while I was treading water.
Hmm. I didn’t watch it so I dunno. Last few times I’ve watched a trailer for one of these, it’s been incredibly underwhelming, so I figure they’re not really good indicators of what the show is like, only the animation.
I feel like they’re too young for a subscription-based MMO...
It’s shoujo, so I’m sure it’s not nearly as horrifying as it sounds. Just... boy howdy does that description sound horrifying.
Ah. That explains why I’ve seen so much of it in anime but not so in manga. I mean I’ve seen a few mangas do it but it struck me as very rare. Then again, with manga I basically only hear of things in the genres I like to read, whereas with anime I hear the names of everything pretty much, so so that probably…
Word. Not gonna lie, at some point I put it on 0% encounter rate and Casual difficulty so I could just burn through the temples and be done with it, lol. Put it back to normal when the repeats finished XD
No. No, I haven’t.
That’s good. Like I said, with the listed genre, I didn’t actually think it was going to be something horrifying. Just that description was so bad...
Same here too. Was so nice. When I wanted to grind out those jobs and levels, I didn’t have to spend craploads of time between encounters wandering in circles and hating everything, and when I wanted to just hurry to the next plot point or I thought the enemies in a zone were really obnoxious, boom—a GTFO setting.
This was apparently a manga first, and I kind of feel like the rules of manga and anime are different. If only because the ridiculous full fucking sentence titles seem to be primarily an anime phenomenon, lol. (I hate them so much.)
Yes but by now the players know this is what they got themselves into thanks to the previous game-wide randomized changes. I think it would have been better if they’d implemented the race and sex divergence from the get-go, but I also feel like the majority of the backlash I’m seeing isn’t because people are attached…
