Certainly the feeling of holding an iPhone is better than one of holding the Galaxy Nexus. Hell, my iPhone 3GS still feels more solid in my hand than most current Android phones. But Apple can't just rest on those laurels of saying "It's alright if this phone isn't a huge advancement since it's still better than the

I'm thinking more from the media sort of appeal. The media has made a big deal about each of the previous generations of the iPhone (with the least time probably spent on the iPhone 3GS). That's because they've had something substantial to talk about. Whether that is a new design, Siri, etc. There's just not that much

Exactly. I think most people won't look at the hardware features of this phone and say "WOW!". That's something really special. The iPhone 4 had the retina display, the iPhone 4S had the new camera and Siri. I don't see a larger screen (which still measures in at less than the size of most Android screens) creating

Yep, I hope their big magical software thing won't be like "Siri is now no longer in beta status!!!". They need something substantial to create a buzz. The larger screen has been talked to death (at least on tech sites) and I feel like most customers won't be excited because of a new dock connector or changed

If this all turns out to be Apple's doing by releasing fake parts and such, it's going to be the greatest prank pulled in tech. And I hope for Apple's sake that it is. Cause they're going to need an ace hidden really far up their sleeves in order to surprise the tech world at this point.

Seems as functional as any other. And I particularly like how it isn't up in your face about all the data. Looks to me like it works well.

I wonder what was believed to be the max for the human body fifty years ago. Did they think that 10s for the max for the 100m?

I thought Gizmodo didn't condone pirating. These images are making a pretty good argument against your stance...

Couldn't this be the new battery for the iPod Touch? Seems like that would make perfect sense. Elongated design and it wouldn't require that large a bump in the battery power (though a little bit bigger jump would have been nice with the rumored larger screen).

Whoops, my bad. And I totally agree. You just need one quality hardware maker to back you up and you're fine. The largest problem you would have would be not being able to make the computers fast enough.

In my opinion, the Windows manufacturers need Microsoft more than Microsoft needs them. If they all decide to mass exodus from the Windows platform, there will be a drop in Windows sales...initially. But they can't be naive enough to think that Microsoft doesn't have some options:

It sometimes annoys me how people don't seem to be quite as amazed as I think they should be by the fact that humanity has managed to land a robot on Mars.

You're right the RX100 smokes the S100 in every facet....except price. In which I can find an S100 for $350 while the RX100 is $650. Please make a fair comparison in the future...

I was at Command Central last night for the landing. Believe me, you had the engineers worried when word came in of your analysis. We got lucky man. We got lucky. Can't believe we forgot to consider simple torque mechanics during our years of research.
