Higgs-Boson ... you are our only hope. *bzzzzt!*

Thank you for the review, Charlie Jane. Taking the daughter to a screening tonight. I've never seen her so excited.

He did say a single word right before he did it. "Darn." It was hilarious!

[edited] This is turning into an argument and not a discussion. I retire with my original position in tact.

I'm not pushing anything being enlightened. Where did I say that? I think you're attributing a false position on me.

So, you're not interested in having a discussion then. Gotcha. :)

I can see that.

Let's not dance around the issue. They are selling sex. The whole point of lingerie is sexual enticement/enhancement.

when one of their operations goes awry (the sister gets stabbed) the reality comes back and they are in the real world.

At least one person understands what I'm trying to say. :)

I would agree that the film suffers from some horrible pacing, and I think that's due to the way the film was edited. The DVD cut helps some, but its not going to change any minds.

Soooo, lemme get this correct. Women cannot dress provocatively, otherwise you are treating them like shit?

You first. Get real, real close. Tell me how that works out for you. :)

I think you're positions are all astute and accurate.

I would agree. The series wasn't campy. Its all a question of tone. The films were just comically performed.

The general premise for the series was unsustainable—as evidenced by the meandering narrative and twists.

I'm still confused about the problem people have with Sucker Punch's stylized sexuality. Sucker Punch didn't use visualization of sexuality trivially ... it was meant to convey the situation the girls at the institution found themselves in—they were being serially raped by the staff and thus felt like prostitutes

I dunno. I can see where they're coming from ... it has crude (or impressionistic) art based on anatomy—this is clear. It doesn't have to be photorealistic for it to be considered pornographic.

You! are a HERO! Thanks for that screen cap!

Louise Jameson ... highly underrated. Really easy to dismiss her performances, but on second look, they were very nuanced. The character could have easily been idiotic, but she carried it well.
