It pretty much comes down to character, a type of rough barely contained character that’s common in Italian cars and some others, usually not quite there in Japanese and German cars. They noisy, playful, there’s the “will it start today or will I need to drive one of my other cars?” lack of certainty. It doesn’t

Yeah I know it’s unlikely, realistically Toyota will probably look at the Z pricing and guess they can charge more lol.

tbh i just hope the z’s existence pushes the ‘86 prices down :P

Always wanted one, then I went and sat in one. Well over 6 ft and all torso, so it felt like I was wearing an undersized tank top made of car. :(

just leaf the poor thing alone

It’s a legendarily boring car to drive, they might want to separate themselves from the name. It’s basically the Nissan Unflavored Beige.

I love the old foglight holes that look like torpedo tubes

Hey everyone, work hard so we don’t see anything left hanging after we lay you off!

vanmoof is fun to say

They’re not even remotely interesting to drive though.

I always wanted to get a smart or an iQ and go full rice mode with spoilers stickers etc all over it :P

lol glad I’m not the only one that does that with these slideshows

There are simply too many concessions that need to be made for the prices they command. Too heavy, charge times, charger availability, no soul, no feel, no character. I don’t have a history of driving interesting cars, including alfas and fiats, because they were great “transportation appliances”. I did it because

Some, of course, but it’s also possible people get pulled over and instead of an expensive speeding ticket or rolling a stop sign ticket, the cop can’t let them off with a warning so they give them the cheap license plate frame ticket instead. It does happen.

How about we stop packing the driver’s seat with so many distractions and make getting a license harder. Make the penalties for distracted driving significantly more severe. You shouldn’t have to tech your way around idiots, just don’t let them drive. Don’t make cars that make people feel invincible, like they don’t

The efficacy of high flow cats isn’t what it used to be though. I know on Fiesta ST’s unless you are bringing a bigger turbo, there’s no point to changing the cat/downpipe. There just aren’t enough gains there to justify the cost (and getting to those downpipe bolts).

I don’t get cat deletes on modern cars. It doesn’t really do anything except make the car smell shitty and the exhaust gets raspy. Yeah, sure, when I had my grand national back in the day it really opened things up to get a modern high flow cat - but with a modern cat... you just don’t get that much, especially if you

Hopefully this cuts down on all the “muffler delete” fans.

Oh I thought it would feel like you were “sliding” with the point of turning being directly below you. I guess that would probably be a much stronger sensation with a “cab forward” layout like an old van.
